As the name suggests, this island is one of nightmares. Undead are the major group of creatures on this island, but there are creatures straight out of hell that reside here as well. Even the plants are hostile, grabbing at you with their branches. Every being here is meant to scare or frighten you, possibly even give you nightmares for a few years. There is no requirements for the creatures here, except that they are demonic and horrifying. They can be real or artificial, being made from flesh and blood, or from metal and cloth.
There is an eternal thunderstorm here, and thus it appears to be eternally night. Upon this island is also a grand castle made from stone, in which reside many beings. Creatures that are either "royal" or exotic are in this castle, and it is home to at least sixty percent of the vampire population on this island.
Flora
Skeleton Tree - a type of tree that is a bleached white, and seems to be sentient. They grab at you if you walk by, often leaving you with small scratches, if not wounds that could be mistaken for those made by a sword
Jupiter Titan Trap - large, nightmarish twist of the Venus Fly Trap plant. It has large, needle-like teeth and vines that can grasp at you, pulling you in. They are weak against extreme temperatures, however
Hellfire Thorn - black, thorn covered vines with purple leaves. When the leaves die, they burst into purple and white fire, known as hell fire. If one ate the leaves, they would experience a burning torment that would cause them to seemingly faint, before they are covered in the hell fire
Death Rose - a completely black rose that, unlike the other plants, is merely just a rose. Getting pricked by the thorns on its stem will not hurt you badly or affect you in any way
Fauna
Natural Fauna
Bat - the only known flying mammal. While they are supposedly vampires in disguise, they are actually just doing what any other animal does: survive
Spider - various forms of this arachnid can be found all over Mythos, but they have congregated en masse here on Nightmare Isle. Maybe it's because basically everyone dislikes spiders for some reason
Magical Fauna
Carrion Crow - a zombie crow that often flies around and only lands to eat, as they have infinite energy, being zombies
Ankou - a skeleton wrapped in a cloak, who wields a lantern and a scythe. One should never trifle with this creature, as it will curse you and cause your death. If you help it, it will simply turn your hair white or silver. There is only one on the entire island. It is often seen on its own or upon a carriage pulled by 2 black horses
Acephali - a bizarre type of humanoid creature that has no head upon its shoulders
Will-o-Wisp - the creature that the fire spell is named after. These creatures are generally orange or blue, taking the appearance of small fires or of small humanoids
Hellhound - a type of canine that can breath fire. The first one was said to have been a dog that followed its master to the underworld but never came back. They take the form of wolves, but the skulls are visible and so is the spine
Skeleton - a broad group of undead. There are various forms of this creature, taking the form of all animals, from skeletal mice to skeletal dragons. The animal skeletons all have the same breath attack, which induces paralyzing fear into those who are hit by it, and the human skeletons can have armor and weapons
Necro Wing - reanimated dragon corpses that retain the breath attack from when they lived, so they can have any kind of breath
Zombie - a creature that is a living corpse. Some of them have lack of flesh and bones showing
Vampire - a royal form of undead. They can multiply themselves by biting and sucking out blood from victims. They can also change into bats, but they look larger and much more vicious compared to normal ones
Titans
Cerberus, the Gate Guardian - A three headed hell hound. He guards the gates to the underworld, which are deep within the castle. Getting past him is a trial in itself, as he towers over even the tallest of men
Orthrus, The peacekeeper - the younger brother of Cerberus. He is peaceful and, unlike other hellhounds, doesn't breath fire. You can even hop on his back and he will bring you to the castle, but you must still be weary of the creatures on this island
Dracula, the original one - the first vampire to ever exist. No one knows how he came to be what he is, but everyone knows to fear him
The Weaver - a snake-like creature that is made of cloth and metal, with four long arms. On two of the arms are claws meant for gripping, on its top left are a pair of large scissors, and upon its right is large needles. You can hear it coming by the rattling noise that it makes. It uses a bright flash of light to blind its prey, which it then ties up by 'weaving,' in which it threads the needle on its upper right arm through the clothing of the victim, effectively making a trap from the prey's clothing.
