Peggy sipped from her flask of wine, her face already slightly pink from the alcohol. Alcohol always made her more confident and reckless which could be a huge problem but she needed it right now because she, her father, and her two sisters were in the centre of a lot of talk in the room considering her family was the one hosting this event.

She shook her head and downed the wine before looking at her sisters who were both making googly eyes at a man who had entered the room so naturally Peggy followed their gaze and smirked, she had a plan influenced by alcohol. Peggy got up and stumbled for a few moments before making her way over to the man and grabbing him, leading him onto the dance floor with a laugh as she held his hand and shoulder.

"Whoa-okay," Was all he said at her actions and then smirked, taking the lead on the dance, "Why hello beautiful~" He flirted making Peggy blush deeper though it could be blamed on the wine, "May I ask your name?"

"Peggy!" She replied making him chuckle, "Schuyler." She added because it was improper not to give her last name, "And who is you?" She stumbled again in her drunken stupor though Alex held her up.

"Alexander Hamilton," He replied as his smirk turned into a smile, "You're stumbling a lot. Step on my feet, then we can focus on talking instead of your failed attempt to dance."

"Kay," So she did as instructed, putting her feet on top of Alex's so he lead the entire dance while she stood there, "Oh I nicknamed you Alex." She informed him, "Oh Peggy is my nickname." She added quickly.

Alex nodded and spun quickly making Peggy giggle, "Then what's your real name, Miss?" he asked politely.

"Margaritaaaaaaaaaa!" She told him, letting her word become longer than it had to be as she tilted her head back while going into another spin, "This is the best dance ever." She told him.

"I'll take that as a compliment," Alex replied and pulled her a little closer by the small of her back, "You're definitely intoxicated, my dear. Do you live here? In this establishment, I meant, not the ballroom of course."

"Yep," Peggy made sure to pop the p before giggling, "Why'd you ask? It's a weird question." She patted his shoulder lightly.

Alex shrugged, "Because it's time for you to go to bed, it's not safe for a drunk woman to be wandering around alone isn't it?" He asked and then motioned to her sisters, "And they're busy leaving."

Peggy looked over to see Angelica and Eliza leaving and she shrugged as well, "Okay." She got off of Alex's feet and took his hand, skipping off to her room, "We're here!" She jumped on her bed, her body moving with the bed as it shifted under her weight, "Daddy bought me this bed a few years ago. It's comfy. Wanna sleep with me?"

Alex blushed at the wording but shook his head, "I'm sure your family would very much kill me if I did." He told her and sat on the bed, "But if you want me to stay then I'll sleep on the top of the blanket, fully clothed. You, however, need to get into sleepwear and get comfy."

Peggy shrugged and popped off of the bed, fishing a nightgown out of her dresser before turning back to Alex, "Close your eyes-oh! No peeking!" Alex chuckled and looked away with his eyes closed as Peggy stripped from her exquisite front-zone ballgown before pulling the thin but comfortable material of her nightgown on, "Okay all done!" Alex opened his eyes and she spun, "How do I look?"

"Like a queen," Alex responded and peeled the blanket back, "Okay hop in, Peggy." He patted the spot next to him.

"You got it, babe." Peggy said and played ignorant to his massive blush as she plopped herself onto the spot he had patted, "You're still going to be here in the morning, yeah?" She asked, snuggling into her sheets and abundant pillows.

"Of course, m'lady, anything you command." He told her, watching her fall asleep slowly. Alex slowly lied down himself and crossed his arms, closing his eyes and listening to Peggy's breathing as he fell asleep himself.

Peggy woke up the next morning and sat up with a start before grabbing her head as her hangover drove her to pain with a groan, "I see you're awake." She turned her head to Alex and tilted her head as she waited for her memories before snapping her fingers when she remembered.

After a few moments of trying to think of something to say she just settled for an improper, "Sup?" Which made Alex chuckle and she rolled her eyes before her migraine came back making her smack her forehead, "Son of a bitch!"

Alex laughed for a few moments before asking, "Hangover got your tongue?"

"What tipped you off, genius?" She asked sarcastically, "God I drank so much it actually fucked with my memory. I've only ever done that once before. Yesterday was the...ball which means I was probably feeling anxious so I drank." Peggy then glanced at Alex, "Oh don't mind me I'm just trying to piece what I did yesterday and why."

Alex shrugged, "Makes sense." He got up, "Okay so for a hangover you'll need water, some fruits, and soup-I like chicken noodle soup." He smiled and helped Peggy up, "So we go downstairs and fix the pain in that pretty head of yours."

Peggy nodded and pulled her slippers on, taking Alex's hand and hurrying to the kitchen while ignoring her headache. She pulled the ingredients Alex told her to get out of the cabinets and plopped them on the counter as Alex made the hangover cure. When she got everything he needed she plopped into a spare chair, "God my head is killing me!"

"I'm hurryin'." Alex mumbled as he made the chicken noodle soup, sliding the water and fruit over to Peggy, "Here. Two-thirds of our little cure here." He turned back to the soup as Peggy slowly ate the apple.

"Thanks," She mumbled around the apple, "Oh hey, Alex, wasn't sure if you caught on but I'm having a romantic attraction to you so wanna court me? That sounds like a good idea to me, sound good?"

Alex looked at her in shock before nodding, "Oh yeah definitely-absolutely. I agree." She giggled at his nervousness and drank her water. Alex turned back to the soup after that exchange and bit his lip, this girl was off the chain. That was for sure.

Alex's eyes widened and he looked down to see two arms wrapped around him, "Mine." Peggy mumbled, "I totally swiped you..." She didn't remember till then but now it came crashing back that she only danced with Alex to spite her elder sisters but honestly she could see why they were ogling him, he was beautiful inside and out.

Alex nodded slowly in agreement and put his hands over hers, smiling to himself.
