Peggy sat with John as the game started, wishing Alex was there but knowing he was absent because of conflicting schedules that held him in New York for the time being. She and John had gone to Kansas City to watch it and just as the first pitch was dealt and John started yelling and screaming for a home run Peggy's phone went off.

"Hey babe, it's Lexi," She told John who instantly calmed down though she could still see the excitement in his eyes, either way, she pressed the green button that caused Alex's excited face to light up the screen, "Hey baby," Peggy said, she kept Alex and John's similar sounding nicknames on lock at all times.

"I'm listening!" John shouted back and then smacked something out of the air that was heading straight for Peggy's face. Peggy squeaked and looked to see the ball they had just hit, "FUCK!" John shouted

Peggy grabbed John's hand and inspected it, ignoring her phone for now, "Babe those things go at like fifty miles per hour," She told him as she grabbed the baseball before anybody else could, putting it in her purse because she knew John would like it later.

"Yeah, I fucking know! That's why I didn't want it hitting your fucking face!" She sighed knowing he was just being aggressive because he was in pain, "Let's fucking go before another shitty ass ball decided it wants to kill my fucking hot as fuck girlfriend."

Peggy blushed but let John lead her out, wanting to stop him because she knew how much he wanted to watch the game, but she didn't because she really didn't want to watch the game. Once they were in the car with John driving back to the hotel she remembered her phone and picked it up to see she had hung up.

Sweetheart: Sorry! We decided to leave the game early and we're going back to the hotel now.

Baby: You two okay?

Sweetheart: John's hand is a little bruised but we're fine.
