Peggy woke up and then immediately realized she was stuck between two grown men with their arms around her. It took a moment for it to fully register with her that these were her husbands and when she did she snuggled into them as they both slowly arrived from dreamland, sleep in their eyes still.
"Morning sleepyheads," She said quietly and received a kiss on both her cheeks which made her giggle.
"I don't wanna go to work..." Thomas mumbled quietly. James and Peggy replied in a long groan until there was a knocking on their bedroom door that made them stop talking and glance at each other, "Not it."
Peggy laughed and wiggles her way out from their defined arms and skipped to the door, opening it for their son, "Good morning, Peter." She said and slid down to her knees to be eye level with the seven-year-old.
"Morning mommy," Peter said with a grin. He threw his arms around her and she hugged back quickly, glad this child had been adopted years ago. He was their pride and joy and she was so glad to have him in her life, how she thought her life was complete without him she'll never know. Sometimes Thomas, James, and Peggy felt a tad guilty because Peter was bullied in school for their relationship but he had swift comebacks that prove he's Thomas's son and never lets their mean words get to him.
Peggy bounced the smaller child and asked, "What've you been up to this morning?" Pulling back from the hug as she said this to stand up again.
"I woke up and I'm hungry," He told her and she laughed lightly and looked at James who groaned but got up.
"Blueberry pancakes sound good?" He asked as he took their son's hand and walked out of the bedroom with Thomas and Peggy watching. Peter was practically skipping and talking about the pancakes he wanted.
Peggy slowly turned to Thomas and raised her eyebrow, "What?" Thomas asked from beneath the covers though he could see her look from there.
"Are you going to put something on?" She asked teasingly, "Because our son almost walked in and saw his daddy's morning wood without boxers." As she said this she could see Thomas slowly getting red in the face.
"How did you-"
"-I'm not an idiot, love." She interrupted and went to the side of the bed to kiss him but he put his hand over his mouth, "Oh please." She said with a grin.
"No kisses for meanies!" Thomas replied like a child and threw the covers off as Peggy averted her eyes, "Margarita you've seen my dick like a million times by now."
"Yeah but I have common human decency," Peggy replied as she heard clothes being moved while Thomas got dressed, "When somebody is indecent you don't look at them until they're decent again."
"Sorry, all I heard was 'my name is Peggy and I don't like looking at my husband's dick because it's weird' so you might have to repeat it." He told her and came to stand in front of her with a smirk playing on his lips.
"Fu-"
"-Pancakes!" She glared at James who just had to interrupt what was about to be a roasted Thomas Jefferson, "Oh did I walk in on something?" He asked while wiggling his eyebrows.
Instantly Peggy flared up but Thomas's reaction was to pull her closer by her waist and say, "Maybe~"
"Not today buddy, best of luck next time yah hoe," She rolled away from him and gave the quite confused James Madison a quick kiss before leaving to the dining room, "Morning again, Peter." She said as she tied her hair from its ponytail into a top bun.
"Mor-fin-gah!" Peter shouted from around his mouthful of pancakes. Peggy laughed at him and kissed his cheek before eating some of her own.
"These are really good," She commented while knowing Peter helped, she wanted to encourage him because he liked to cook which is why one of them always cooked the meals with Peter if he wanted to and always asked. Even though she knew the answer she asked anyway, "Who made these? They're the most amazing chef in the world!"
"Me and dad!" To Peter, Thomas was daddy, James was dad, and Peggy was mommy or mom; usually mommy.
"Oh wow!" She feigned surprise and beamed at him, "You're just full of cooking talent!" She told him making Peter's infectious smile grow tenfold.
"I am?!" He asked while jumping up and down in excitement really only children feel comfortable enough to display.
Peggy nodded quickly, "Oh yes you are! You have to help mommy make dinner later tonight but you have to help me make the decision. I can't decide, roast beef or spaghetti?" They all also made Peter feel as if he made important decisions because he was also a member of the household and deserved the right to make some calls on things.
"Spaghetti!" Peter shouted happily as Thomas and James entered from the bedroom, "Hi daddy! Hi dad! Good morning!"
"Mornin'," Thomas replied as James got everybody a glass of milk. Thomas got a plate and then remembered Peter helped so he did the same act Peggy had to make Peter feel even more special.
"Mommy says I'm going to help make the spaghetti tonight!" Peter informed his two fathers who glanced at Peggy who nodded.
"Yep, I did." Peggy told him and ruffled his hair, "Because with such an amazing chef in the kitchen there's no way it could taste anything short of amazing, right?" She asked and glanced at her husbands pointedly.
"Oh yes definitely," James said quickly for fear of Peggy's motherly wrath if he made Peter feel any negative emotion.
"I mean, duh," Thomas replied and stabbed a piece of his pancake and waved it a bit, "Because these pancakes are to DIE for."
Peggy's alarm went off and Thomas got up and found Peter's lunchbox for school which he put the regular lunchable in with a fruit, this time an apple, along with two zebra cakes and coo-laid in a bottle that kept it cold. He then packed Peter's backpack as Peggy quickly brushed the child's hair and James got him dressed.
When all was done they went to their front door and waved goodbye to Peter as he ran to the bus stop, Peggy leaning into Thomas and James's arms. As their son waved continuously from getting onto the bus and then from his window until he was out of sight they stayed there with grins and waved back until he was gone.
"We did good," Thomas said after a moment. James hummed in agreement and Peggy nodded, "He's such a good kid."
Peggy turned around and kissed Thomas and then James quickly, Thomas then kissing James, before she spoke, "And I think I did pretty good on my choice of husbands. You two are amazing."
"Don't get sappy," Thomas teased and she hit him lightly on the chest as James grabbed her and held her in the air as she shrieked and kicked her legs.
