"Come in!" Arthur shouted, looking up from his desk when Gaius entered. His heart began to pound furiously, expecting bad news. He never realised he cared so much for Merlin; all these surreal things happening seemed to be a test for him.

"Sire," Gaius said, bowing his head slightly, "I bring good news, Merlin is recovering well, you shall be able to visit him tommorow,"

"How is that good news?" Joked Arthur, the fear clutching tightly on his heart began to drain out of his body. "Thank you, Gaius. I don't know what I'd do with out you! I am very grateful for your work,"

There was a hint of a smile on Gaius's face, "Thank you sire," he replied, "I shall call for you when he is able to be seen if you wish to visit?"

"Of coarse Gaius, Good servants are hard to come by,"

"Well sire, maybe best to give the questioning a rest as he won't have fully recovered and I think it's best -"

"Of coarse," agreed Arthur, "although I shall start to investigate a bit, if that is ok?"

"If you want some help," Gaius offered

"I shall be sure to let you know. Thank you Gaius,"

"My pleasure sire,"
