After the long and tiring day, you got home. You arrived home pretty early. You smiled, you had some time before your shift at the animal shelter started. You took a quick shower, and then you diligently did your homework while eating a cup of instant noodles. After finishing the last problem on the worksheet, you glanced at the watch on your wrist, and saw that you had thirty minutes left; good. You left the warm house, and went out into the harsh weather outside. It had stopped raining while you had been walking home, but you had an inkling the rain was going to come back; you were right. You opened the rainbow umbrella, and continued to walk briskly to the train station.

The train arrived on time, like always. You quickly boarded, and sat down in a pretty much empty car. While waiting for the train to arrive at your destination, you pulled out your phone. You browsed through Snapchat, seeing your friends' streaks  and posts. It was then you remembered you had to text Jimin! You exited out of Snapchat, and quickly went into your messages. You pressed NEW MESSAGE, and selected the unknown number.

You hesitantly wrote,"Hello". Just as you were beginning to type that you were (y/n), Korean text appeared saying,"안녕하세요 누구입니까?". Your eyes widened at seeing the text, did you accidentally type the wrong number? You typed,".. This is (y/n), is this Jimin?" a bit apprehensively. You saw the person on the other side of the phone typing, and then your phone showed a moment later,"Ah, (y/n)! Hello! How are you?". You quirked an eyebrow; how come this guy was able to talk perfect English on the phone, but not in person? Whatever, you could think about this later.

You typed,"I'm fine, how about you?". You noticed he took a bit more of time this time around, meanwhile waiting for the train to arrive. One minute later, you received Jimin's text,"I'm great! I'm glad you found the candy bar!". You chuckled at this, and typed,"Yes, I did. Thanks for the free food, but it was yours". The train was stopping at your station, so you slid your (f/c) phone back into your pocket, and got off. You opened the rainbow umbrella once again, and started to walk to the animal shelter.

At a red light, you pulled out your phone and saw that Jimin had replied two minutes ago,"No problem! No, the candy bar was yours, even if you insisted no. Anyways, how was school today?". You quickly typed your answer with your free hand,"It was ok, I barely remembered anything the teachers taught me though.. Good thing I have notes!". Jimin laughed at your text on the other side of the phone, and typed,"Good thing! Good thing!".

The red light turned green, and you continued your trek to the shelter. You arrived on time, and went into the employees' locker room. You went to your assigned locker, and opened it. You put your (f/c) backpack in, and then you typed,"Hey Jimin, sorry to make our talk so short, but I need to leave to work!". Jimin frowned, but typed,"It's ok, have fun!".

You frowned at having to leave him, feeling something tug at your heart. You shook your head, ignoring the feeling. You put the phone away, and changed into your uniform. Your superior, a sweet lady in her late thirties, came into the room, and smiled at you warmly.

She said,"Thank you very much for coming! I know this isn't your shift, but here at the animal shelter we appreciate it so much that you are taking your time from your schedule to come help us". You smiled politely and kindly, and said,"It's no problem, Ms. Abe. It's always a pleasure to come help at the animal shelter!". She shakes her brown locks, and said," It's a pleasure to hear that sweetie! It was just so unexpected that Mary quit, after having spent so much with us!".

It was, Mary had been your friend and your superior. Although she was two years older, she was kind to everyone, no matter the age or gender. She loved animals, and was taking classes at the local university for her veterinary degree. You remembered one day she had stated,"One day, I'm going to open my own practice and you're going to be my assistant! It's gonna be successful, don't worry about that!", you smiled sadly at the sudden thought. Three weeks ago her demeanor started to slowly change, until she suddenly quit. Ms. Abe interrupted your thought about Mary, and said,"Well, come on sweetie, let's start the shift". You smiled, and nodded.

Jimin's POV

He didn't know why he had decided to give the unknown person his number. He guessed it was on the spur of the moment. Well, maybe he did know. He felt something every time he saw the person, a weird feeling in his tummy. He shook his head, his "feelings" were directed towards a  probably underage high school student! Besides, this person probably had already found their soulmate; they appeared to be at least 16. Jimin didn't really know, the person was wearing long-sleeves.

He groaned, he was being stupid. Why would his name be on the young person's wrist? He already knew he wasn't going to meet his soulmate. SoulMate Co. had published a study recently that stated that by the time you reached 21 and without having met your soulmate, there was an 8% chance of ever meeting them. His eyes drooped at the thought, and then you popped up in his mind again.

He clutched at his pink hair, groaning. Why couldn't he get you out of his head?! He'd barely met you a couple days ago, and you were already stuck on his head and, although he didn't want to admit it, his heart. Why couldn't you be like the others? He had obviously been with girls before, during high school and even after. He'd had flings that had lasted months, and he had never had a problem forgetting those girls. So why couldn't you be any same as them?

He was frustrated, even more confused. He wasn't frustrated with you though, he could never blame you. He let out one more groan, and now the rest of his band members couldn't keep quiet about his bad humor. Hoseok tilted his head, and said,"Hey, are you ok?". Jimin nodded absentmindedly, and said,"Excuse me, I'm going to my room...".

He left them, and dragged himself to his hotel room. He opened the door, and let the door shut behind him as he threw himself into the springy bed. He almost fell off, thankfully not. He tried to sort through his thoughts again, but found his head growing heavier by the minute with pain and sleepiness. He sighted, and decided to cave in into his needs; he took off his clothes so he was only in his boxers and snuggled into the warm unfamiliar white bed.

Reader's POV

After the long shift and dealing with too many people, you finally were out. You changed in the employee's locker room, and walked out of the animal shelter; not before saying goodbye to your co-workers of course! You checked your watch as you ambled towards the train station, and noticed that it was 9:10. Jimin was already probably asleep to text him now. Your (e/c) eyes widened, why would your first priority be to text him? Why was he even in your mind?

Lately, he's been occupying your mind all the time. You found it a little strange how he managed to root himself into your soul in so little time. It didn't really matter now, he was stuck in there without having any intentions of leaving, and you weren't really sure if you wanted him to leave or not.. Which you didn't really want to admit! You shook your head to get rid of your thoughts, and forget about Jimin for a short while; you had arrived at the train station with only four minutes to spare.
