I always admired him.
Smart, funny, sweet, cute... I took a shine to him, even if he didn't notice it. However, many others did as well.
Those, he noticed.
I had always been a loner, someone who stays on the outside of the group rather than in the spotlight. He always was the center of attention. Not because he was popular, oh no; but the tricks and adventures he and his friends pulled were more than enough to be the talk of the other students. He also wasn't the cutest; that would probably be Stan Marsh, his super best friend. But to me, he was my light in the darkness.
As I walked to my locker, I was nearly trampled by Stan. "I'm sorry!" He shouted behind him.
I just shook my head and kept walking. I was opening my locker when a conversation reached my ears."Yo, Kyle, did you hear?" Stan asked the young ginger.
"What happened?" Kyle responded, his voice clear as a bell.
"Wendy says that some girl is gonna ask you out today at lunch.
This peaked my interest. I know eavesdropping is bad, but I couldn't help it. I looked over at the two and strained to hear more.
Kyle blushed faintly. "No way dude! Did she say who?"
He looked over at me, and I looked away. Shit! I thought.
Although I had a huge crush on the boy, I wasn't planning to confess to him anytime soon. Better to just let it die.
I looked back. Stan was shaking his head. "No dude, sorry. But hey, you'll find out at lunch, and it could be the person you like, right?"
I gathered my things and walked towards my next class, oblivious to the stare on my back. "Yeah... Right..."

I walked into the lunch line. None of the food looked very appetizing, but that was probably because of the news I had heard that morning. Who could it be?
"Hello children!" The chef said jubilantly.
I looked up to reply, but saw his focus was not on me, but rather four boys. "Hi Chef," they replied monotonously.
"Chef, if a girl likes you, what do you do?" A boy wearing a green ushanka asked.
I gasped sharply and turned my attention to the conversation next to me. Chef gazed thoughtfully at the young Jew.
"Well, if she likes you, and you like her, then you gotta show it to her," Chef replies.
"But what if you don't know who it is?"
"Well then, leave yourself available. She'll come runnin' into your arms."
"Hey bitch, move! You're holding up the line!" A fat boy in a red coat yelled at me.
It was Eric Cartman, the town bully, but also Kyle's friend. Sort of.
The two always clashed neck and neck, but somehow they never killed each other.
"Did you even hear me, you whore?" Eric screamed again.
"Hey Fatass, stop picking on her!" Kyle said.
He offered me a smile. I blushed and sent one back, then took a cookie from the lunch line basket and ran.
Kenny McCormick, the fourth and final member of Kyle's Gang, said something through his orange parks as I hurried to my table. I didn't hear much, but I managed to catch the words 'nice ass' in his muffled statement.
I made it to an empty table and sat down, breathing hard. Soon after, the four boys sat down at their usual table across from my current one. Kenny saw me looking and winked, causing me to blush heavily, and causing Kyle to glare at him and shake his head.
Throughout lunch, Kyle kept glancing over at me, growing increasingly disappointed. I was very confused by his actions, and considered going up to him to ask about it, but quickly changed my mind due to my introverted personality.
Now I wish I did.
Near the last 5 minutes of lunch, Bebe Stevens got up and walked towards me. "Hey sweetheart," she said to me.
I glanced up to see her baby blue eyes staring deeply into mine. There was a sort of diabolical tone to her voice, and her eyes gave me the same thought. "Yes Bebe?"
"Word has it that you have a crush on Kyle Broflovski," she purred.
Red painted my cheeks. "Who says?"
She laughed. "Oh please darling, it's easy to see. Now watch as I steal your man. Then again, he wasn't really your man to begin with, now was he?"
My eyes widened as she gave me a menacing smirk and sashayed towards Kyle's table, grabbing him by his coat and smashing their lips together.
The entire lunchroom stopped and stared at the scene. My fork clattered onto my lunch tray.
Bebe pulled away. "Wanna go out Kyle?"
He nodded vigorously.My heart shattered.
For the next few weeks, it was all holding hands, rubbing noses and making out for them. It was hard living with it, but I managed.
The boy whom I loved was gone, taken from me.I was too shy.
I never did find anyone else. Around the middle of the school year, I jumped off a bridge.
I didn't survive.
Days after my "accident," I was walking in the cemetery with Kenny McCormick. He and I grew closer after my death, since he was the only real student I had any sort of communication with.
We were just talking, playing around on the headstones and whatnot, when we heard someone sobbing.
I turned to look to a person two graves away. His green ushanka was sitting sideways on his head, revealing his messy auburn hair. He had gotten a lot paler since I last saw him, and was crying into a long (F/c) cloth.
Kenny and I walked towards him. He was sitting at a headstone marked "(Y/n) (L/n): (B/d)-11/12/17. Loving Daughter. (F/q).
Looking closer, the piece of cloth he was crying into was my old (F/c) scarf I always wore. "(Y/n)..." He sobbed, "I'm so sorry... I miss you... I-I love you..."
"I love you too, Kyle," I whispered in his ear. "I always did."
He looked around warily. His green eyes had dark circles around them. "(Y/n)?"
I knew he couldn't see Kenny or me; we're dead. I responded anyway. "Yes Kyle. Kenny's here too."
"Hey bro."
"We miss you Kyle. Very much. I wish I were still alive."
Kyle focused his attention on my gravestone. "Why did you kill yourself? Why didn't you talk to someone?"
"I didn't have anyone I could talk to. I was kind of a loner. I killed myself because I thought I couldn't handle my heartbreak. When Bebe kissed you all those months ago, my world shattered. I thought this was the best option. I thought wrong."
I press my lips to Kyle's. A ill he feels, however, is a light breeze on his lips. "I'll miss you, Kyle Broflovski."
"I'll miss you too, (Y/n). Treat her right, okay Kenny?"
"Will do."
Kyle lays a single (F/Fl) down and kisses my gravestone."Goodbye (Y/n). I always admired you."
