Lacey let out a sigh as she flopped onto her bed. She refused to leave her room after her fight with Melia. Her mother constantly came in to check on her and to try and bribe her out with food but she just wasn't up for it. The good thing though is that her cut healed rather quickly thanks to the help of Eddie it was now only a scab, it hurt a bit when she touched it but that was all
Today she was going to the Quarry to meet with the boys and Beverly, she just wasn't sure what time to go. It was already half past 12 so she figured she was just go already. Lacey got up and went over to her closet to pick out her outfit for the day. She decided on a simple denim skirt and cropped striped top since she would be swimming
She throws on her silver sandals and begins to head out the door
"Lacey, where are yo-" Melia begins to question her younger sister but is ignored. Lacey just walks out the door not letting her sister finish her sentence
Was she being dramatic over it? Maybe, but Lacey didn't care. She was angry with her sister and that's that. Grabbing her bike from the side of her house, she begins to head over to the quarry which wasn't too far
As she rides there she appreciates the scenery around her. People walking around, children playing, it was just a beautiful day. Arriving at the Quarry, she looks up at the sky to see a single red balloon floating by. How odd Lacey thought. She drops her bike next to the others and makes her way towards the cliff. Nobody is around, but as she looks over the edge she sees everyone splashing around and having a good time
Lacey looks back up at the sky looking for the balloon but it's gone
"Lacey!" Beverly shouts happily
"Hey Bev!" Lacey shouts back
"Are you gonna jump or are you too scared?" Richie call out tauntingly
"Just wait till I'm down there Richie!" Lacey threatens
Everyone was now looking at the girl, waiting to see if she would jump or not. Lacey slides off her sandals and begins striping of her clothes. As she pulls her shirt over her head she hears a wolf whistle. She peers over to see Richie smirking to which she flips him off
Lacey sets her clothes aside on the ground and steps closer to the edge. Her heart raced with excitement, she felt free and dare she say it over something so small, Lacey felt bad ass
"Well go on princess, we haven't got all day!" Richie shouts once more
Lacey ignores him and turns around walking away from the edge to get more running space
