"I'll be back mom!" Lacey shouted to her mom as she quickly left her house
After the ankle incident her mother seemed a bit more protective and demanded Lacey told her when she would leave and when she was back home
Lacey did care though, she knew deep down her parents didn't really care anymore. They were still grieving over Melia
Lacey and Beverly were supposed to hang out, so that's where Lacey was headed. The Marsh home, it was weird going to Beverlys house. Everytime the two hung out Beverly wouldn't want to go to her home. Also, Beverlys father kind of creeped Lacey out. They agreed to meet up outside her home that way they could talk privately, since Beverlys father was home
As she pedaled to Beverlys house on her bike she passed by Eddies house and contemplated on stopping by. He hasn't left his house in a while, nor had he talked to his friends. Lacey decided to just talk to him after hanging out with Beverly
The girl hopped off her bike once she arrived at Beverlys house but stood in confusion when she didn't see Beverly. Maybe she is right outside her door, Lacey thought. So she began climbing the stairs to Beverlys home
Lacey stood even more confused when she reached the door, for it stood wide open
"Bev?" Lacey called out nervously
"Anybody home?" Lacey called out once more as she cautiously entered the home
A gasp left the girls lips, their house was a mess. Something bad went down. Laceys heart began pounding in her chest. What happened?
She quickly sped walked down the hall to see the bathroom door open. She peeked in and her eyes widened, there on the floor layed Mr.Marsh. Blood surrounding him. Her hand flew to her mouth as she stood in shock. She needed to find beverly
Spinning around she ran to the only place the girl could be. Slowly pushing open the door to Beverlys room her heart sunk as she read the bright red words on the walls

Lacey didn't even remember running until everything was a big blur and she was pedaling down the road. It got Beverly. The monster got Beverly. She had to save her, but she couldn't do it alone because that's what it wants. Lacey was determined to gather the group and save her best friend
