"Final battle" ______________________
"Beverly!" Lacey shouts running towards her floating body with Ben right behind her
"How is she floating?" Richie questions
"G-guys" Eddie stutters while flashing his light in the air
They look up and their eyes widen, in the air kids were floating. But it wasn't just any kids, it was the missing ones
"Are those the," Lacey couldn't even finish her sentence she felt sick to her stomach
"The missing kids" Stan finishes her sentence, his voice sounding wary and soft
The group stood watching the kids floating in the air completely frozen with shock. Richie's eyes widen as he sees Melia up there, her denim jacket catching his eyes
"Lacey! Come help me get Beverly" Richie calls out, he couldn't bare to see Lacey break if she seen her sister floating
Lacey runs over to Richie and he lifts her up to grab Beverly. Lacey gently pulls her down and hold her by her shoulders
"Bev?" Lacey murmers shaking the girl
Ben merges his way into Laceys spot, holding the girl he admired deeply by the shoulders
"Bev? Beverly!" Ben shouts tears filling his eyes
"What's wrong with her?! Why isn't she waking up!" Ben cries
Laceys heart breaks at the sight, it was obvious he liked the girl alot. Richie looks at Lacey and slips his hand into hers, she looks at him and squeezes his hand
Ben pulls Beverly into a hug and when she still doesn't snap out of it he presses his lips against against hers for a second
"Oh god, Ben" Richie murmers as the rest of the group cringes
Nothing happens at first but then Beverly gasps, snapping out of it
"January embers" She says, sounding out of breath as she stares at Ben
"My heart burns there too" Ben grins happily
The group runs to hug her as Lacey stands still, sudden things adding up. Ben was the one who sent her the love notes. The boy was good with words
"Lacey!" Beverly shouts embracing the girl in a tight hug
"I was so scared for you Bev, I don't know what I would do if anything happened to you" Lacey whimpers
