(Y/N)'s pov

Another boring day in the headquarters. I can't believe they still won't let me fight...just because I'm training still. Everyone was out on a mission so I decided to go out for something to eat.

I rounded the corner to the pizza place I always go to, humming a random tune. As soon as I opened the door the owner yelled my name with his thick Italian accent. "(Y/N)! Long time no see! How has my favourite costumer been?" I smiled shaking my head and holding my chest.

"Damn it Mario! You scared me I thought I was in trouble." He laughed. "To answer your question, I've been fine. Trainings really boring, I'm levelling up super quick but I'm still not allowed to fight. Anyways. I'll take my usual please and thank you."

"Alright that'll be five dollars." I handed him the money. I'm so glad I've known Mario since kindergarten so I get things that are like fifteen dollars for just five. I thanked him and walked out of the store to take a breath. I jumped when I heard a bang from an alleyway next to me.

"Hello? Is anyone there?" Silence filled the area. I decided to check it out. Smart. I know. I walked deeper and deeper into the alleyway to suddenly be flipped upside down. "Shit," I mumbled under my breath. "the one time I leave my pocketknife at the HQ..." I then heard a slightly deep feminine laugh in the distance. "Oh no..." I squirmed to hopefully find a week area in the rope so I could escape somehow. To my luck it didn't work.

"What have I caught today?" Wait a minute, I recognize that voice.

"Widowmaker." I spat with acid. She jumped down from a building and approached me. She smiled and set her gun off in the distance.

"Aww. Mon chérie... aren't you adorable? So adorable I might just let you free." I rolled my eyes.

"Like that's going to happen, you have a reputation to have no mercy. They say you feel good when you kill, so why would you spare me?" She laughed again. I'm not going to lie, it's really sexy for us being against each other.

"Yes, I get pleasure out of killing but there's something about you that makes me want to keep you alive. Trust me I'm surprised too, don't make me change my mind." Could widowmaker actually be a huge softy on the inside?

"Well. To thank you, would you like to get something to eat?" She thought about it for a little bit then nodded her head. "Alright lets go to the the pizza place, I ordered some pizza so you know...we can share." She picked up her gun and followed me.

"Merci" I nodded and smiled. I'd be lying if I said I didn't have a thing for her, believe it or not we used to know each other. She obviously doesn't remember me, but I moved to France for a little bit for my fathers job and we used to be best friends. This was when we were like 10.
I walked into the pizza place and smiled at Mario.

"Your chicken wings are almost done, that's all that's left to serve." I nodded and smiled.

"That's ok. How's Linda?" Smiled.

"Still the same beautiful wife she was when you met her." Linda and Mario are definitely the cutest couple I've ever gotten together. Before I came to overwatch, I used to work with Linda and I just put the two together after a party a friend of ours had.

"You know I can have my overwatch name as 'Cupid'. It'd work because I'm almost always the best at making pairs. Unfortunately I can't get my own girlfriend...but that's beside the point." Mario laughed along with me. I looked behind my shoulder to see Amélie sitting at a table looking back at me.

"Ah it's done!" I snapped out of my thoughts and picked up the pizza box.

"Come on widow, I was going to head back to my apartment and eat this. Do you want to eat there? Or we could go to the park." She shrugged.

"We could go to your apartment, it's windy out and the food will get cold faster." Isn't she a smart cookie?

*woosh it's a timeskip*

I can't take it anymore. I have to tell her. "So Amélie, you don't remember me?" Her eyes widened slightly in surprise.

"You know my name?" I nodded my head. "Well based off of your looks no..." I frowned.

"Your 'bestest best friend' doesn't ring a bell?" She gasped.

"(Y/N)?!" I nodded my head and pulled her into a hug. "I've missed you so much."

"Me too. And to be honest, I don't like you as just a best friend anymore...I like you as more." I looked away, but she softly grabbed my face and slowly pulled me into hers for a kiss.

"I always did (Y/N)."
