I shot a card through the sky
it exploded leaving ashes
you asked me why
why cause so many crashes
then leave it at that and be gone
no need to look to see
to know how long
this chaos train would be
I walked through the flower path
as you followed behind
I shall spread my wrath
and leave my victims signed
as I turned around
you looked at me with shock
my feet dug into the ground
I have always been your rock
and look at me now
breaking in front of you
going so far down
if only you knew
if you knew how much love
I have tried to explain
I searched for an answer above
to tell the broken pain
but unfortunately
you'd never be so calm
for this is not reality
you wouldn't raise an alarm
I walked forward
and was consumed in your heat
I put down my sword
I looked down at our feet
standing bare feet on the grass
tears streaming down my face
I told you at last
is this pain nothing but a race
to see who gets hurt the most
for love and being glad
I am not it's host
everything ends up bad
you lifted my face with your hand
I knew right there
I am not alone in this awful land
you care
