Nightmare

23 2 2

I hung it on my bed
holding the feathers in my hand
hoping the dream catcher
would destroy the nightmare land

I climbed in bed
and turned off the light
consumed by darkness
nothing in sight

I pulled my Teddy closer
as thunder roared outside
a creak at the closet
I went under the covers to hide

Shutting my eyes tightly
it's long claws scratched my skin
the thunder cheered in pleasure
as my heart rate went thin

I awoke with a jolt
clutching my chest
mom called for breakfast
waiting with the rest

But before going down the stairs
I did my usual routine
putting make up on the scar
so it couldn't be seen

No one will know
that my dreams come true
if only they would leave me alone
so that I wouldn't have to be a corpse too

It's 03:34 and my closet is open...I don't like this.. Hehehe
