Peridot's POV

"Hi I'm Ruby" Ruby said with a smile

I looked a ruby and saw she looked confused and asked if she wanted help.

"Really that problem is easy,  but I'll help you out"

"Thank you, peridot" ruby said

"ok so what you need to do is multiply that and then divide it by 52 and then you have to turn it into a unit rate" I said with enthusiasm

"...... Um..... What?!!" Ruby said still looking confused

"I Just explained it to you, you clo--- I mean here let me show you" I said through gritted teeth

"Ok thanks!" She said

I helped ruby with her math and then the teacher started the lesson. The class was super easy and basic I thought. I looked over at ruby and saw she looked so confused. What a clod.

"Now class simplify this and then wait for the next problem" mrs yellow said with yellow eyes full of hate

I finished the problem in under a minute and stayed quite while ruby looked so confused and uncertain.

"Ugh!  Here" I said as I took her pencil and did the problem for her

"Grr I could of done that on my own!" Ruby said with a angry expression

".... Woah I w was just trying to h help"

"I COULD OF DONE--"

Ruby got cut off when the teacher gave her a cold gaze

"I wish sapphire was here with me" ruby said under her breath

The teacher got back to class while I was pondering about who sapphire was.

The bell rang and I got from my seat and headed off to science my second favorite class in school. I walked into class and tripped on a stool.

"Gahh!" I said as I was falling

I knew I was going to hit the ground and get laughed at so I let it happend while I shut my eyes. I then felt hands wrap around my waist and then I opened my eyes slowly and looked up to meet a pair of beautiful  blue eyes stare into my emerald ones.

"I um..... t t thanks" I said while studdering and my face turning red with blush.

"No problem" the person said she then realized that her hands were still wrapped around my waist so she quickly let her arms unwrap from my waist and quickly walked to find a seat. I swear I saw her blush but just stared.

"h hey u um what's y your name" I said as she was taking a seat

" lapis lazuli" she said with no expression
