Max
"What?" I asked them.
No one answered, they all just turned around and walked in the mall.
"Mandy, wake up," I said softly, earning no response.
"Mandy?" I asked again, a little louder this time. Still nothing. I walked into the mall and found a bench, where I laid her down and shook her gently.
Did she say something?
"What?" I asked. More groaning.
"Wake up, we're at the mall," I said, and she pushed my hand away when I tried to shake her again.
"If you know you look good, repeat after me. Oh my G O D, I'm so sexy...."
I looked around. Was that Mandy's phone? With her eyes still closed, she reached into her pocket to grab her phone and answered it. Her and the other person talked for a few minutes, then she hung up.
She sat up and rubbed her eyes, smearing her eyeliner. I tried not to laugh, but I couldn't help it.
"What? I smeared my make up, didn't I?" she asked.
I nodded and told her to stay on the bench. As I was walking away, I heard her say something that sounded like "I'll do whatever I damn well please," but she stayed put anyway.
I walked intp the nearest store that sold make up and bought her some eyeliner. I felt like I needed to make up for my previous rudeness with her, and maybe this was a good way to do so.
I walked back out and Mandy was gone. I looked around, but couldn't find her. I pulled out my phone and texted Chris asking for Mandy's number. He gave it and I texted her, asking her where she went.
Mandy: I went to the restroom. If you need me, you will have to come in here because I'm not leaving this spot on the floor.
Max: I'm not going in there. Why aren't you coming out?
Mandy: I just took my make up off. I look like Medusa.
Max: I just bought you some, now come out and put it on.
Mandy: No.
Stubborn ass. In the name of building a new friendship, I decided to go in there anyway. Grow a pair, Max.
Funny, because I'm trying to convince myself to go into the girls' restroom.
I walked up to the entrance and looked around to see if anyone I knew was watching me.
I walked into the bathroom after a moment of hesitation, "Mandy?" I called out, and got no answer.
Then, a woman walked out of a stall and looked at me with wide eyes. I panicked, so I turned around and ran.
As soon as I ran out, I found Mandy sitting on the bench, smiling at me. I walked over to her.
"You bitch," was all I thought of to say. I couldn't help but find my funny though, it seemed like something I would do.
"Did you get lost, Max?" she asked, then started laughing.
I knew she was evil.
I handed her her eyeliner and was walking away when she called my name. I turned around.
"I'm sorry, Max. I was just having some fun. Don't leave me here alone," she said sheepishly.
I wasn't actually mad, I just wanted her to think so, so I can get revenge. I've been to this mall several times, so I know where everything is. And I know the perfect way to get her back.
"It's okay, its in the past," I said. Then I walked over to her and put my arms around her, to make her think I was giving her a hug. When she raised her arms to hug me back, I picked her up and threw her over my shoulder.
"Max! Put me down!" She said as she started hitting my back and kicking her feet. I just kept walking to the really big fountain in the middle of the mall. I turned the corner and found our group. Everyone looked at me when I walked by.
I waved, but kept walking. I heard Mandy scream for help from Corey, but none came. I smiled when I saw the fountain. I stood in front of it, with my back facing the water, and began dangling her over my shoulder, close to the water.
"Say you're sorry!" I said.
"Never!" She shouted back.
I loosened my grip a little, so she slid toward the water. A few inches of her hair was in the water.
"I'm sorry! I'm sorry! Put me down now!" She begged, clutching onto my shirt like she thought it would save her.
I thought about it, but I wasn't completely done yet.
"Say my name, bitch! And that you'll buy me anything I want in the mall!" I bribed, earning a scoff from her.
We were both yelling, and people were staring at us. Most people were laughing. Where are the security guards?
"I'll buy you anything you want in the mall!"
"You forgot something."
"I'm not screaming your name! Put me down!" She pleaded while she still fought me.
I loosened my grip some more. The water was touching her forehead.
"Max! Max! Max! Max!" She said, "Please don't drop me!"
I put her down on her feet and she wrung out her dripping hair. I noticed everyone had caught up to us.
Mandy turned and looked at me. I have a feeling this is just the start of a prank war, "Well, you guys have fun. I owe Maxi whatever he wants," she said, before turning to me," Let's go."

We just got back to the venue. I thought I'd be nice to Mandy at the mall and only get a shirt from Hot Topic. Her hair did eventually dry, and she bought me my icecream.
She didn't put her make up back on, and despite what she said, she didn't look like Medusa, she just looked a little tired.
Today overall was a pretty good day. We only shopped and hung out, and didn't try to embarrass or scare each other anymore.
It turned out that Mandy and I actually had a lot in common, from our music taste to our favorite colors and food. The longer we spent time together, the worse I felt about my immediate judgement of her from the first day. Despite her bravado, she was a pretty genuine and down to earth woman.
I think we're gonna be pretty good friends in the future.
