Mandy
We were on the road today heading to Chicago for our next show.
Right now, I'm sitting on the couch, on my laptop, doing whatever came to mind.
After about three hours of just messing around, my laptop battery was about to die, so I shut it off and went to find Maddie.
"Wanna dye your hair?" I asked her, folding my hands together in a begging position, even though I already knew what she was gonna say.
"Uh. No," she stated. She values her naturally perfect hair way too much.
"Wanna dye mine?" I asked with a smile.
She nodded excitedly and we headed to the bathroom, where all of our hair stuff was located. After going through out inventory of different colors, we decided on the dark blue.
After a good hour or so of dyeing and rinsing out color with spare water bottles, the bottom ends of my hair were a midnight blue.
I looked myself over in the mirror. My hair was still dripping wet, and I was makeup-less, but I thought I actually looked good with the blue. I towel dried it and flipped it over one shoulder, before leaving the bathroom.
It was 1:00 pm and everyone on the bus was getting hungry. Our manager, Kaylee, a woman in her thirties with multicolored hair, called the manager of Escape the Fate and the other bands to see if they wanted to stop for food. After a bit of talking, we all decided we would stop at McDonalds and eat.
We all unloaded the buses once we found a place to park and walked in, fortunately for the McDonald's crew, they weren't super busy beforehand. After the task of everyone putting in their orders, my band mates and I found a table that would sit us all.
With the four bands here, including their crew mates, there was hardly any tables for other people. The five of us sat and waiting on our individual numbers to be called, and one by one, we all got our orders.
When everyone finished lunch, we hopped back on the bus and kept driving. Everyone from ETF and IO liked my hair, and commended us for doing a good job on it.
What felt like several more hours went by with me napping and talking to my band mates.
Just when I thought I would die of boredom, we got to the venue. IO performs before ETF, but we had some time to get ready. Maddie and I were just talking when Robert came onto our bus and told us it was our time to set up and perform. So we grabbed all the things that we knew we needed, popped fingers, warmed voices up, and went over the set list.
We ran out on stage and performed our hearts out, like we did every night. This crowd was overly rowdy, which only hyped us up more. After our set, we gathered at our merchandise table and met our fans and signed their things.
About an hour and a half later, we all headed back to our bus, where Monte, Max and Craig had joined us after just finishing their own set.
Corey brought out a bunch of beer and vodka from cabinets in the kitchen area and everyone started drinking. Thirty minutes or so later, no one could think straight and everyone just kept saying stupid things.
"Lets play Truth or Dare!" Corey said.
Like that. That's a stupid thing to say.
Everyone agreed and we sat in a circle, or as much of a circle as a bunch of drunks could. Monte was dared to run around outside naked. Chris admitted to everyone that he had kissed guys before, despite him insisting he was straight. Maddie had to lick whipped cream off of Corey's face. Luckily, no one picked me, until just now.
"Mandy, truth or dare?" Maddie asked.
"Dare," I said. I was feeling confident, thanks to liquid courage, but my smirk soon turned into a frown, as Maddie just smiled at me.
"Mandy, I dare you to kiss Max."
Max
"Mandy, I dare you to kiss Max," Maddie said with a smile.
Mandy's face fell. She was silent for a moment, as she scratched the back of her head, "Um, okay?" She said.
She leaned toward me, only a little. I tried to focus on her face, but I couldn't because of how blurry she was. Mandy hesitated, like she was having second thoughts.
"Mandy!" Maddie snapped.
"Okay, okay," she responded and touched her lips to mine.
Mandy
I can't believe I just did that!
He tensed up, so much that it was like kissing a wooden board.
I was about to pull away when he relaxed and kissed me back. I gasped when I began to feel fireworks go off inside of me. He placed on of his hand delicately on my thigh, and I grabbed his face with both of my hands. Our lips moved together in sync.
He had barely licked my bottom lip when some one cleared their throat. We pulled apart and noticed everyone staring at us.
"We're still here," Craig said.
I grinned sheepishly, and my face began to burn from embarrassment.
I sat next to Max for the rest of the game. A lot of funny shit happened. We all laughed and cried tears from laughing and talked and just had a good time. I couldn't stop thinking about the kiss I shared with Max. I had never shared a kiss like that with anyone before. It was so passionate and full of feeling.
And the saddest part if tonight is, I won't remember any of it in the morning.
