Peter Parker nodded as his friend Ned prattled on about what happened in Chemistry class. A class Peter had to miss because of his crime fighting duties. Truth was, Peter couldn't care less about Chemistry. He was too busy staring at the laughing girl from across their table. Her head was thrown back and her silvery laugh filled his ears. Y/N's face lit up in a way that made Peter's heart fall even more for her. The boy sighed and rested his head on his fist.
"You know you could just talk to her instead of staring at her like a creeper." Ned stated.
"I-I wasn't staring, Ned." Peter defended himself.
"Sure you weren't, buddy." Ned chuckled. Peter rolled his eyes.
"If I was, and I'm not saying I was, can you blame me? She's perfect." Peter said, dreamily.
"Which is why you should talk to her." Ned forced.
"With her friends, who hate me by the way, around her? I don't think so."
"Well then you just have to catch her alone and ask her to hang out." Ned suggested. The other boy scoffed and pushed his food around his lunch tray.
"Easier said than done, buddy." The young superhero's mood instantly dropped knowing that he may never have a chance with the beautiful girl.
"Think again." Ned clasped his friend's shoulder, making Peter look up. Y/N stood up, lunch tray in hand, and walked to the trash bin. "She's alone. I'd say this is a good time to go over there and put on the Spidey charm."
"Ned, I-I can't. Wh-what would I even say?" Peter stuttered.
"Don't overthink it, just go!" Ned pushed him out of the bench and pointed in Y/N's direction. Peter knew that Ned wasn't going to let this go if he didn't even try to talk to Y/N. He took a deep breath and walked to her. The nerves inside of him grew with each step. He wiped his sweaty palms on his pant legs. Peter was about to tap Y/N's shoulder when he lost his footing and ended up, literally, tripping over his own feet. He tumbled on to the floor, ungracefully. Y/N turned around and gasped. People around him laughed. Peter just shook his head and pushed himself off the ground. Y/N looked at him, concerned.
"Are you okay?" Y/N asked him,she reached out and put her hand on his bicep. Peter's face turned red at her touch.
"Y-yeah, just a little clumsy. That's all." Peter was surprised at the significant lack of stuttering.
"That was a pretty hard fall. You sure you're okay?" Y/N dropped her hand, blushing a little at the feel of his muscles. Who knew Peter Parker would secretly be ripped?
"I'm okay. I-I was just..." Peter couldn't hold her gaze for so long without blanking out.
"You just?" Y/N prodded.
"I-I just needed to get a tissue that's all." He grabbed a tissue from the counter behind her. "Uh, have a good day."
Peter turned around and hurriedly speed walked back to his and Ned's table. Y/N was left confused.
"That was pathetic." Ned commented. Peter sat down and covered his face.
"I know."

Y/N clutched her coat tighter around her as she walked to the candy store. A major sweets craving could only be solved with a major candy haul. She pushed the door open, a bell chiming to signal that a new customer entered. The girl moved through the aisles getting a few bags of candies.
Peter, meanwhile, was hiding behind a gondola. He knew he shouldn't have gone to the candy store today but he was craving. The moment he saw Y/N he froze up. He did not want to embarrass himself a second time today but he knew that he needed to man up and just. Talk. To. Her. Peter took a deep breath, pulled on his backpack straps and made his way to her.
Y/N was deciding between 2 packs of candy when she heard something crash behind her. She turned around and saw a boy laying, face first, on the floor. Y/N kneeled down beside the boy.
"Oh my gosh, are you okay?" Y/N tried to pull him up but ended up just turning him around. Her eyes went wide when she recognized the now bloodied boy. "Peter! Oh my god, your nose is bleeding!"
Peter groaned and scrunched his nose which did not help the pain he was feeling. He covered his nose and felt the blood slowly dripping onto his palm.
"H-hey, Y/N." Peter tried to brush off what happened but Y/N was still a little shocked. The boy stood up and Y/N followed.
"Hi. Are you alright? Do you want a tissue? I got one if you do." Y/N reached into her bag and handed Peter the pack of tissues.
"Thanks. So, how are you?" Peter wiped under his nose.
"I'm fine." Y/N smiled at Peter trying to avoid talking about what had just happened.
"That's good. I, uh, wanted to ask you something actually." Peter could feel his confidence fading slowly so he wanted to let it out before it was completely gone.
"What is it?" Y/N tilted her head, her soft eyes encouraging Peter.
"I, uhm, was wondering if you would like to hang out sometime?" Peter held the tissue underneath his nose as the blood continued to gush from his nose. Y/N couldn't really focus on Peter's question because of how quickly the tissue was turning red.
"Uhm, Peter..."
Peter took her hesitation as a form of rejection. He started to walk backwards.
"I-It's fine if you don't want to do it. I m-mean I w-wouldn't do it too. I just-WOAH!" Peter's foot slipped again and he fell, hitting his head against the tiled floor hard. The last thing Peter saw was Y/N calling his name before everything went black.

Y/N sat beside Peter's bed, waiting for him to wake up. After the candy store fiasco, Peter was rushed to the hospital. The girl knew that it was only right that she stay with him until he woke up. She stared at Peter's closed eyes and floppy hair falling onto his eyes. Y/N reached out and brushed the strands away from his face. Her hand lingered as she got distracted by Peter's long lashes kissing the tops of his cheeks.
In all honesty, Y/N was taken by him. Y/N knew all about Peter and how smart he was. She never really understood why her friends didn't like him. He was cute and kind and smart. What was there to hate? Y/N moved her hand down to graze Peter's cheek when Peter stirred in her sleep. Y/N retracted her hand quickly.
Peter groaned at the bright light. He tried to shield his eyes but the wires connected to his arm stopped him.
"What..." He mumbled.
"Hey," Y/N placed her hand on his arm to stop him from moving. "Don't move around too much."
"Y/N? What are you doing here? What happened?"
"You kinda fell and got a concussion." Y/N said, gently.
"I did?" Peter suddenly remembered everything that happened. "Oh god, I did."
"At least you're okay. The doctors said you can go home after a few more tests so..." Y/N trailed on.
"Okay..." There was an awkward silence between the two. "You must think I'm an idiot now, don't you?"
"I don't actually." Y/N bit her lip and averted her gaze. "And if the offer still stands and you get out of here without any major head injuries, then I would love to hang out with you."
"Really?" The heart monitor began to beat faster.
"Yeah." Y/N smiled at Peter's excitement. She moved her hand down to hold Peter's. Peter couldn't believe that she had actually said yes. He squeezed her hand, making her smile even wider. The sweet moment was interrupted by the door opening, forcefully.
"Peter!" May Parker exclaimed. The older woman rushed to her nephew's side, her face full of worry. "How are you feeling, sweetie? I'm sorry I couldn't be here a while ago. My boss wouldn't let me leave early."
"It's alright and I feel much better now, May." Peter smiled at his aunt.
"Okay, I was worried about you. " May looked up and finally noticed the girl her nephew was holding hands with. "Hello. I'm May. Peter's aunt." She held out her hand.
"I'm Y/N. A friend of Peter's." Y/N shook her hand.
"Y/N? Why does that name sound familiar?" Peter panicked as May thought deeply. Peter may have mentioned Y/N a couple of times to May and he was begging to anyone who was listening, that May wouldn't mention anything to Y/N and just fully crush Peter's pride. "Oh! I can't remember. Blame my age." Peter let out a sigh of relief. "Do you mind telling me how my nephew got into this situation?"
Y/N watched Peter groan and hide his face with his hand that wasn't in her hand. Peter peeked between his fingers and silently begged her not to tell May the whole story.
"Peter's just very clumsy." Y/N stated.
"That I can believe. When Peter was 10, we were walking in the mall and he just tripped and fell straight into the fountain." May shared.
"MAY!" Peter shouted, turning red.
May ignored her nephew's complaints and continued to share stories about Peter, much to his displeasure. Y/N smiled at her stories and rubbed the back of Peter's hand with her thumb when she felt that he was getting uncomfortable. He relaxed a bit and just listened as the two women exchanged stories with him interjecting sometimes. Y/N and Peter would occasionally share sweet looks, that wouldn't go unnoticed by May.
Little did they know, that this would be something they would still be doing years later but this time it was Peter rubbing the back of Y/N's hand. A shiny new engagement ring on her finger with a matching story that they were ready to share with May.
