Ben's POV

Today was my birthday, November 8, and I was having a party at my house. My family, friends, relatives, and a bunch of my classmates all came here. While I was flirting with one girl, and I think her name was Sam, my parents approached me. They told me they needed to talk to me about something, so I told Sam to get lost, and I faced my parents again.

"So? What are we talking about?" I asked, and my dad gave my mom a look, signaling that she should be the one to tell me.

"Do you know Rey Kenobi?" My mom asked, and I nodded my head at her. Rey was a girl from my class, one of the smartest and nerdiest ones.

"What about her?"

"Well...you're going to get married to her." And when she said those words, I started yelling.

"I'm not marrying that nerd!" I yelled to my parents in frustration, while pointing to Rey, and my mom looked at me disapprovingly.

"You haven't even given her a chance--" But I cut her off while yelling again.

"Mom! I'm not giving away my whole life by marrying some nerd just because you need to get richer!" I shouted in anger, and my dad was looking me dead in the eye.

"Watch your words, Rey is a very nice girl. Better than the ones that you bring home nearly every week." He folded his arms against his chest, and I laughed with no humor.

"So? What proof of that do you have? I've got a rep that I'd like to keep."

"So you're saying that you care more about your reputation than listening to your own parents?" My mom looked hurt, I could see that, but I was more focused to the fact that they made an arranged marriage with someone that I don't want to be married with.

"Yes." I replied shortly, and walked away from the both of them, leaving my mom looking even more hurt, while my dad looked disapprovingly at me.

Rey's POV

I was at Ben Solo's 17th birthday party, and I really didn't want to go, since it was a school night, but my grandpa insisted me that I can't keep myself in my room while reading, so I decided to just go with him.

"I have something to tell you." My grandpa suddenly said, looking a bit nervous, and I nodded my head at him.

"Go on."

"You're going to marry Ben Solo." My grandfather pointed to a good-looking man behind me, and I found my eyes being glued on to him. I knew who he was; he was the "Number One Playboy" of our school. My grandpa noticed how I was staring at him, so he snapped his hands in front of my face, making me turn my head to face him again.

"Why do I have to marry him?" I asked him, but not because I didn't want to, though that was somewhat one of my reasons, but I actually wanted to see how it would work out between me and Ben. I was confused as to why I'm marrying him.

"Well--" He was suddenly cut off by a man who suddenly embraced him in a hug. I recognized the man as Han Solo, Ben's father, and he whispered something to my grandpa, then he nodded in understanding.

"We just need our company to work with theirs, and so you have to get married to him, because you're both the next heirs of the companies." I was still confused. Was it really necessary for me to marry Ben? Was there a secret that my own grandfather is hiding from me? Most importantly, was I really going to force myself to love the boy who would possibly just play with my feelings?

"It's nice to see you, Rey!" Han Solo, Ben's father hugged me, and I awkwardly hugged him back.

"Um, nice to see you, too, Mr. Solo."

"Oh, don't call me that! You're going to be a future Mrs. Solo, so you might as well just call me Han."

"Okay, Han."
