Midoriya's PoV

Surprisingly, it was nice coming back to work, being in that sickly hospital made him realize his love for freedom.

It didn't last long.

"Midoriya."

Midoriya turned around.

"Todoroki-kun, good morning."

"Come with me."

Midoriya didn't really hesitate, carrying his papers, he followed Todoroki.

He didn't know where Todoroki was leading him to. Both physically and emotionally. Scrunching his nose, he walked behind Todoroki, who didn't bother starting a conversation. It was a peaceful kind of silence, one where each party were immersed in their own thoughts.

They stood in front of a door in the basement.

He hadn't explored this part of the building before. Some part of him didn't want to.

Swallowing, he asked.

"What's this place, Todoroki-kun?"

"A cell."

"There're such things in your father's office?"
He asked incredulously.

"It used to be the lab that held the noumu, but that's gone now."

"Oh."

He swung open the cell door.

"Go in."

Midoriya didn't like where this was going.
He stepped in, and was greeted with a heavily shackled girl.

Her limbs were chained up, but that didn't stop the smile from lighting up her face when she saw the greenette entered.

"Hi, Izu-kyun!"

"T...Toga?"

"Yep!" Toga giggled, "Guess the attack didn't go on so well, otherwise I wouldn't be stuck here."

She stuck her tongue out at Todoroki.

"Boo!! You really suck, heroes suck."

Todoroki rolled his eyes. And Midoriya fought the urge to chuckle.

"The plan didn't go well, Izu." Toga frowned.

Midoriya froze. He prayed Toga didn't blab and give his position away.

God he felt like sewing her mouth shut.

He looked at Todoroki.

Todoroki was looking at him, his eyes didn't show any element of surprise.

"Midoriya, I hope you know what you need to do now."

And with that, he left. Leaving Midoriya alone with Toga.

What I need to do now?

"Izu, get me out of here." Toga stated, eyes glittering firmly.

"B..but, I can't. Toga. Even if I wanted to, I don't have the key."

"That wasn't the answer I was expecting, izu."

Toga was surprisingly sober today.

What does Todoroki want me to do? Beat up Toga? Kill her?

Find out about their next plan and then tattle on them?

Oh. Yeah. I could do that.

But why should I do that? It benefits Endeavor. I wouldn't mind if it was for a real pro hero, but it's Endeavor.

But it's also for Todoroki. A small part of Midoriya's mind whispered.
