It was a long and painful car ride, considering the fact neither All Might nor Todoroki talked at all. He would have contemplated jumping out of that deafening car if not for Todoroki clenching his hands tightly. Whether it was a sign of comfort or not, Midoriya himself didn't know.

Sinking down into the soft leather seat, Midoriya sighed. Looking out of the window, it was night, and the stars, though mostly hidden by the harsh glow of the street lights, gazed coldly down at him.

After all, all that he had done, it was all for naught. He'd achieved nothing, at the expense of everything.

He thought of his mother, Inko, and her gentle features, how her eyelids would crinkle whenever she smiled, or how her eyebrows shot up at an amazing rate when she was worried or shocked.

Would he ever be able to atone for all he had done?

After all the pain he went through, just to only be informed that the one who killed his mother was Dabi.

He gritted his teeth, Dabi may be gone, but that emptiness in his heart still remained. The bloodlust he craved so much, gone after satiating it, leaving only a dark black hole, he definitely wasn't happy.

Revenge doesn't solve anything.

Todoroki's words echoed through his head.

How was he such a fool to be able to ignore those words.

But now, 'If only' doesn't matter anymore, 'sorry' doesn't change anything. Why should he spend the rest of his life regretting for something that has passed? Sure it would be painful, but he wouldn't let himself get swallowed by his past anymore.

The car door swung open, and Todoroki nudged him, Midoriya stepped out of the car, cold wind buffeting his face, as he took in the countless policemen standing outside, as of barricading them from nothing, forming a long path with led to the police station. Such a scene was enough to make Midoriya feel uncomfortable, he knew they weren't for him, though. He could see it once All Might stepped out of the car, the way he was ushered, protected from the nonexistent crowd.

He was led into the police station, it was brightly lit, as he squinted his eyes. All Might had vanished to who knows where, what was more important right now was the door in front of him.

'Detaining room 1' it read.

"You'll be detained here, the police would like to interrogate you tomorrow regarding your presence in the neutralization of the League of Villains." Todoroki sounded behind him.

They entered the room, which smelt slightly of mildew, and stale, hot, damp air. Midoriya wrinkled his nose, shutting the door behind him. The police had left Todoroki with briefing Midoriya on what to do, having their hands full with All Might for now.

Ensuring the door was properly closed, he exhaled, a long, proper one. When was the last time he got to chat with Todoroki like that?

When you kidnapped him.

He felt weird that now they were left alone now, he couldn't shake off that weird tingling feeling rising in his chest. It felt so wrong, yet so right, one moment he shocked Todoroki out cold with the tazer, the other moment he was talking to him like nothing ever happened.

"I'll probably get arrested and jailed once they find out about me, maybe even killed." He started, angling his eyes towards Todoroki's heterochromatic ones. Time seemed to slow around them, as Midoriya struggled to find the proper words to say.

Please forget about me. Goodbye.

Was that what he wanted to say? Perhaps, perhaps not. But either way he couldn't bring himself to continue, he didn't know what to say, he was like a fish out of water, suffocating.

Todoroki remained silent. And seemed intent on squeezing something out of Midoriya. As he folded his arms.

Midoriya swallowed,

"I know sorry doesn't work, so, I would like to thank you for saving me, or at least holding out until All Might arrived, and I hope you will find it in your heart to forgive me for betraying our trust someday."

"After tomorrow, I'll probably be gone, hell, I don't even know what's going to happen to me. But I guess today is the only day I'll be able to say a proper..."

Farewell.

He found himself clenching his fists, as his nails dug mini crescents in his palms, as he faded into silence, no amount of forcing was able to force the last word out of his mouth. He didn't want it, he didn't want to say goodbye to Todoroki yet. After all he had went through, he'd lost everything but him. It was like he was the respite at the end of a harsh journey, but now even he was being robbed away from Midoriya. But no matter what, Midoriya had sinned, he deserved it, he had deserved all the punishment in the world since he joined the League of Villains. He wasn't allowed such privileges, he was the lowest of the low. Sucking in a deep breath, he braced his cracking heart.

"farewe-" two hands slammed against the wall as Todoroki tackled him, Midoriya felt his body press against the cold concrete, which sent shivers down his spine.

"Didn't I say I'm never letting you go until I fully figure you out?" Todoroki murmured, coiling one of Midoriya's murky green locks. His gaze drifted between Midoriya's eyes and his hair, as his voice dropped to an octave Midoriya had only heard once.

"You may not like it, but you're not saying goodbye to me yet.", his husky voice tickled Midoriya's ear. As he felt himself breathing faster, heartbeat accelerating, about to burst out of his chest.

"And now I see why I'm so interested in you."
Warm hands nestled at the bottom of Midoriya's chin, slowly tilting his head up.

"Izuku, you can push me away like you always do after this. If not, you're stuck with me forever. And I'll never ever let you slip between my fingers again."

Midoriya didn't have any time to process before Todoroki pressed his lips against his.

Shock and adrenaline shot through his body as he felt the warmth from Todoroki spread through his body.

He felt himself enjoying it, as his hands travelled up, holding Todoroki by the waist. As Midoriya pulled Todoroki deeper, opening his mouth to let Todoroki's tongue gain entry. Todoroki happily accepted, as he felt his tongue brush against his, gentle but passionate.

Caressing each other softly, Midoriya closed his eyes. Not wanting this moment to end.

You may not like it, but you're not saying goodbye to me yet.

Midoriya smiled into the kiss.

He liked it.

He liked it just fine.
