Peter sent a text to all the pups. And wouldn't you know it... they were all not answering. Which meant they were occupied. Of course. The second he gives Derek the day off everyone else is not available to watch the little broken spark. He couldn't do it by himself. He wasn't exactly capable of caring for a living being.

He was Peter after all.

But here he was watching as Stiles rummaged in a closet looking for who knows what as he was texting the pack furiously.

Suddenly he looked up from his phone to see Stiles holding out something to him. His eyes flick down taking in the turkey pan. Stiles then made the clawing movement and pointed at the pan.

"Look kid I know I'm pretty impressive but I'm not the kind of guy to pull the same party trick more than a couple of times." He deadpanned to the boy that just looked at him probably not understanding a single word he said.

That goofy expectant grin was lighting up his face as he kept holding out the pan to him.

Peter's eyebrow twitched. "Kid. Come on." Still nothing deterred Stiles. He just hefted the pan a little higher and made the claw movement and then to top it all off the kid actually made a fake little growl at Peter with a grin on his face.

Peter sighed and sliced through the pan with his claws. Stiles watched with wonder and delight and then examined the claw marks. "You really are gone right now. You'd never let me anywhere near you without that bat you all ways tote around. That and a jar full of mountain ash. You always were the smartest one of them." Peter sighed only this time it felt a little deeper. "Seeing you like this ..." He left the rest of his sentence stay silent.

Stiles just smiled up at him and then went to go look in the closet again.

"Kid, I can't keep destroying your stuff. Your old man will literally shoot me." Peter could just see it. John showing up and seeing all the clawed up stuff and just taking his gun and shooting him for the trouble then making him pay for damages.

Stiles brought him something else and Peter gave in again and clawed through it. Again Stiles eyes lit up and he looked and smelled happy. Peter would never ever admit that was why he did it. Not ever.

Then suddenly Stiles brought him pry bar and made as if he was trying to bend it then handed it to Peter. He wanted him to bend the bar. He was testing his strength. Peter did it. He bent the bar and gave the bar back and watched the wonder in Stiles eyes.

By the time Isaac came in to help watch Stiles, Peter was holding the couch above his head as Stiles clapped and looked at him with wonder.

"What's going on here?" Isaac asked as he watched Peter put the couch down.

"Nothing. Just keeping him entertained till you got here." Peter scoffed and left the room to go make coffee.

Isaac looked between Peter's retreating back to Stiles who was trying to heft the couch up by himself but then gave up and said. "Strong, Blue Strong."

Isaac smiled and nodded noticing how happy Stiles was then. Isaac had never seen Peter do anything helpful before. This was a first.
