"I already told you I'm not going if Mico's going to be there. Sobrang awkward kaya. Sino sino ba kasi andun?" I asked Steph, one of my blockmates whilst searching for an outfit for a so-called night out tonight.
The whole block is planning to have a few drinks at Early Night tonight and apparently, everyone's going. Ugh. Can someone define "Everyone".
"I'm not sure, Marq. But the block invited Aljun and the rest. Not sure kung andun si Mico but if you're not comfortable, we can avoid him. Magpakita lang tayo. We can go to Tipple naman." Stephanie replied, almost giving up.
I really wanted to go. Masaya kaya sa Early Night. Everyone knows that if it's the weekend, Taft people go to the Fort. Kaso lang, I've been avoiding Mico (My ex - or should I call him an ex? Or dati kong ka- thing whatever) and ayoko lang talaga ma awkward. Plus, paano kung andon ang flavor of the month nya? E di sobrang double whammy.
"Fine. Pero swear pag nakita natin si Mico doon, lipat tayo agad! Deal?" I finally agreed after seeing a white cute dress na never ko pa nasuot.
"Yes! Yes! Plus, andon naman sina Aljun nga and the rest of the guys. I think the players are celebrating something before they go on season. Masaya yun!" Steph replied back, and naffeel ko na may something na mangyayari tonight.
Let's just say na Stephanie has a thing for our varsity players. I won't say na fangirl siya, but something about basketball screams hot for her. Ako naman, I don't mind since I've met some of them on one of the Happy Thursdays I've attended before and wala naman bastos sa kanila or wala namang mali so why not?
After hanging up, I decided to go downstairs and have a little snack. It's just 6pm and I promised myself that I'll get ready around 8pm. Sobrang aga pa kaya.

"Fuck naman, sobrang haba ng pila ano 'to?" I shouted at Alexa, one of my oldest friends na ka block ko rin. Sobrang haba ng pila sa labas ng Early Night and ang hassle. I knew it, sana hindi na pala ako pumunta.
"Marquis?!" I heard someone at the back and I finally see a familiar face. Aljun Melecio.
"What the fuck. Ano 'to?" I asked Aljun as I gave him a side hug.
"Di ko nga rin alam eh. Pero alam ko may table tayo sa loob. Kib, sino na ba andyan? Baka may gustong sumundo sa atin?" Aljun asked the guy he's with and we waited for a couple of minutes para may magsundo sa amin from inside.
Aljun introduced us to his teammate, Kib and nalaman namin na last hurrah nila 'to before they start on training for the next season.
"Kayo lang ba ni Alexa?" Aljun asked.
"Nah, Stephanie and the rest of the block are going. Hindi siya nagrereply, that girl! May nagreply ba sa mga friends nyo na susundo sa atin?" I asked. Medyo irita na ako ah.
