I sighed in nervousness and pain as Ricci conquers the game with a dejected face. It's already the third quarter and lamang ng 21 points ang Ateneo. Start na nang first quarter nung makarating kami nila Alexa at lamang pa sila ng 4 points nun, pero ewan ko ba, parang may bad omen ata kaming tatlo at pagdating namin bigla silang natalo.

Steph ranted and I realized na we kinda look a bit stupid for watching and supporting these guys who made us cry the past few days. I can tell that Steph's worried sick about Kib though, the way she scrunches up her nose and forehead whenever Kib commits a missed throw or shot.

I gasped as the love of my life committed another foul from the game. Hindi ko alam kung anong nangyari sa kanya, pero napansin kong never pa siya ngumiti. Never siya nagsalita, never siyang kumausap ng kahit na sino all throughout the game. Yes, nakaka-shoot naman siya but his face remains stoic afterwards.

Tinanggal si Ricci sa game at ipinasok si Drei and Aljun. Ricci stayed on the side, lifelessly nodding on his Coach while Coach briefly scolds him. We are 5 lines away from GA's side (told ya, perks of being the girlfriend) that's why sobrang lapit namin sa kanya. I hid under my black baseball cap dahil kahit na gaano ko siya gusto alagaan, i-comfort or kahit punasan man lang yung pawis nya but there's something in me na nahihiya sa kanya. Alam kong wala naman akong ginawang mali pero hindi ko alam, may something pa rin sa akin na di ko ma-explain tungkol sa nararamdaman ko sa kanya at kailangan mabago yun.

I was drowning in my thoughts when I suddenly noticed a pair of eyes boring into mine. Huminto ang paghinga ko nang makita kong nakalingon si Ricci at nakatingin ng malalim sa akin. His eyes are dull – as if it lost its sparkle. Nabigla ako at itinaas ang kamay ko to give him at least a slight wave but bigla siyang umiling at huminga ng malalim sabay iwas ng tingin sa akin.
