"Ms Prieto, kindly read the first paragraph," my English Lit professor commanded me. It was a Monday and siyempre, pasok pasok din.
After 30 minutes, the class finally ended. It's lunch time so I went to the cafeteria to meet up with Alexa and Steph. They both have the same class before lunch, ako lang naiba. Those bitches!
I grabbed a salad at the cashier and I saw Alexa approaching. Tinuro nya si Steph na nakaupo na on one of the tables with of course, one of the varsity players and I forgot the name.
"Girl, hindi ka nagparamdam kahapon. What happened to you?" Steph asked me, while sipping on her orange juice. I raised my eyebrows and tinignan yung kasama nya. Um, so ganon na lang yun? Naki-table sa amin pero walang introduction?
"Oh, this is Thomas. Thomas Torres! Wala siya nung Saturday eh. Nakakainis!" Steph said, kunware naiinis pero may hint of flirtiness naman. Kainis tong mga ganitong babae!
"Hello, Thomas. So nice to meet you. Bakit wala ka sa Early Night?" I asked, casually. As much as possible, ayoko nang balikan mga pangyayari dun pero wala naman akong choice. I knew it's going to be the talk of the town for the whole week hangga't wala pang bagong night out.
"Nakatulog ako. Sayang nga eh. Balita ko masaya pa naman." Thomas replied, pero nakita kong nagtitigan sila ni Steph na parang there's something fishy going on.
I sighed and closed my eyes. Memories from the night hit me like a ton of bricks. Hindi ko alam kung mahihiya ako or matatawa na lang ako sa mga nangyari.
"Balita ko naka-shoot si Rivero, eh?"
I almost spit on my salad and so is Steph. Akala ko mabait tong Thomas, medyo may pagka fuccboi rin pala magsalita. Remind me to reprimand Steph for even talking to this guy!
"Excuse me?" I asked and parang nagulat pa si Thomas na medyo pikon ako. "Anong naka-shoot?"
Na-feel kong na feel ni Thomas na medyo na pikon ako so medyo nag rattle siya sa words. Dapat lang.
"I mean, something happened between you guys daw. I heard you guys kissed?" Thomas carefully replied.
"Ugh," I inwardly groaned.
Ayan, totally nag flash back na talaga mangyari last Saturday night. For the record and sa naalala ko, after seeing Mico in front of me I grabbed Ricci's head and kissed him which lasted for like, 10 seconds. It's not even a momol, parang smack lang naman with a little movement. It's not a big deal, I'm sure the kid got a lot more kisses way before.
After we kissed, we heard the whole team cheering for us. Alexa was a little shocked and Stephanie was also cheering with Kib. Hindi ko na maintindihan. I also saw Mico walking out with his date before I get the chance to evaluate Ricci's reaction.
