Sixty

Once Draco got down the hall he heard Sirius going into Harry's room.
"There you are!" Ron's voice made Draco jump
"Sorry? Have I slept late?" Draco asked meeting Ron's eyes as he turned the corner
"No later than me. I was just coming to get you and Harry. Mum says breakfast is ready."
"Sirius woke us. I think he's talking to Harry now." Draco smiled
"I'll just walk with you if that's okay." Ron shrugged
"Doesn't bother me. By any chance do you know what happened last night? I mean after that whole episode?"
"All I'm able to say is you my friend are a screamer. You guys must have went at it after you went to try to sleep."  Ron chuckled

"I can't remember." Draco shook his head

"Maybe that's a wolf thing?" Ron shrugged

"Could be. I'll worry about it later. Now I need to worry about my mother."

"She didn't seem bad yesterday. Granted I don't know her as well as you."

"She was withdrawn. That could be that she doesn't know everyone well enough to be comfortable yet"

"Seems to be adjusting pretty well."

"She doesn't have to hide her true self anymore. She's happy her. Your family is helping her so much more than you know."

"I'm glad. I may not be completely comfortable with you but I'm glad you and your mum are out of that situation."

"So am I. I'm just glad we had someplace to go." Draco sighed

"You're really not half bad. It's not your fault your father's a bully. That's his problem." Ron smiled

"You're a lot nicer than I expected you to be after all the things I've said."

"All water under the bridge now. You've turned a new leaf Draco. I'll be nice as long as you are."

"I think I can work with that."
