He paced while she sat. It began to rain and it was the only sound heard in the office. Sandra sighed, interrupting Cesar's thoughts on their future. He walked over to his chair, and helped her up. He took her hand, and they walked over to the large window where the rain dripped over the glass. He looked down at her, and his heart fell. A small tear spilled down her rosy cheek. He gently brushed the tear away. She tried to hide her sadness, but instead she embraced him. Cesar pressed his eyes shut and pet her hair.
"What if it's negative?" she asked, gasping.
"Whatever the results say, I'll never leave your side."
     "Cesar, I love-"
A knock came to the door. He pulled away from her and ran to the door. He opened it, and sighed with relief when he saw Vincent.
"Well? Come in." Vincent had a straight face. Expressionless. He took a seat exactly where he sat the day of the interview. Sandra sat in Cesar's chair, while he faced the window, his back to them.
     "Well?" Cesar demanded.
     "Negative. You are not related."
"Are you absolutely sure?" Sandra asked.
"Positive. I mean negative. You get it," Vincent answered nervously. Sandra began to sob again. Cesar pounded the window. It trembled but held strong. Instead of telling or starting a rant, he did something unexpected.
     "Thank you Doctor."
"My pleasure Sir," Vincent answered, inclining his head.
"Why don't you take the day off."
     "What? Day off?"
"I'll pay." Vincent hesitated but didn't argue.
"Alright. Thank you Boss!" he said and walked out the door. Once the door was closed, Cesar turned towards Sandra.
"Stop crying. I have an idea."
