"Oh shit." I whispered, but it was amplified by the microphone that I was holding in front of my mouth, still a little out of breath from the song. The audience laughed at my comment. I just stood there for a couple seconds, taking it all in: the lights, the scene and most of all, the people in front of me, who had come to see us. I took a deep breath and started talking, "Oh wow, sorry for that, I'm not supposed to swear but I have no other reaction." The audience laughed again.
"I swear I had a great intro but it just all flew out the window. I mean, who would have thought that we, Against The Current, would be on stage in front of thousands of people, I sure wouldn't have imagined it in my wildest dreams, it's amazing and we owe it all to you guys! So this is for you!" I took a deep breath and announced our next song.
But first, let me rewind a bit.
