"Did you see the way I handled that guy?!" Lance asked the others in an elated tone as he walked into the break room of the castle.
"You know we were all kinda busy with our own thing, right?" Pidge pushed a snarky comment his way, earning a small chuckle from the female behind her. She was surprised to hear her, of all people, somewhat, laugh with her. But, that fact alone made it feel kinda rewarding. So, she smiled back at the girl with (h/c) hair.
"I guess, but I totally nailed that guy. I was practically shooting with my eyes closed at the moment, that's how good I was!" He said all with everlasting excitement, flopping himself onto one of the couches in the room. Looking up at the ceiling with a huge grin, Lance began fantasizing what his next mission could possibly be.
"I'll believe it when I see it." Keith murmured as he took off his red helmet.
"Oh whatever, mullet-head. I don't need your approval." Lance's tone then shifted to one of annoyance, as he crossed his arms after pointing a finger towards the violet-eyed male.
"Paladins!" Allura exclaimed as the other door leading into the break room opened,
"And (Y/n)-" She added with a gracious smile once she saw the young girl from the corners of her eyes,
"Well done taking care of that base. At this rate, we'll be ready for Zarkon in no time." She said with a determined attitude.
"Yes, yes, but that's all in due time. For now, we stick with the simple things and move our way up from there. No need to let our fantasies cloud our trains of thought now!" Coran interjected from behind the female Altean. He then stepped from behind the Princess, taking strides over towards the Paladins and the young girl. He eyed them all up and down and ultimately came to a conclusion,
"You all look like lumps on an artimaous tree stump! You all need a meal to fix you up!" Coran announced with a finger pointed to the ceiling.
"Alright, Hunk, guess it's time for you to get to cooking," Shiro exclaimed with a pleasant smile.
"What?! No! I'm doing the preparations tonight." Coran said in an alarmed tone.
"Aw-but Hunk-"
"No. No. No. I'm cooking tonight. You all have worked so hard recently, and I've been improving!" He said, almost whining, as he backed his way out of the room and towards the kitchen...presumably.
"Oh great," Keith exclaimed while facepalming.
"What so wrong about that? I mean, having someone cook for you is a good thing...right?" (Y/n) asked from the side, delusional of Coran's lack of cooking skills. Allura let a small laugh escape from her lips, and made her way over to the girl's side.
"Oh, you'll see why in just a few. Believe me." She only said, still leaving it to the girl to fill in the blanks. She only stifled a small laugh at the Princess' response and plopped herself next to the blue Paladin on the couch.
"Hey there. How's it goin' ?" Lance asked, sitting up and directing his full attention towards the girl next to him.
She only flashed him a small smile, already used to his flirtatious behavior and rolled her eyes. He then pushed the girl's shoulders, playfully teasing her, trying to get a reaction from her. She slightly flopped onto the couch and sighed softly, but held a smile on her face. (Y/n), had gotten back up and returned the gesture, but failed to realize how much strength she had put into her push. The blue Paladin then fell off the couch and onto the floor and the rest of the individuals around him just looked at him in confusion. The (e/c) eyed girl looked at him with concern, however, getting up from her sitting position and kneeling down by his side, checking if he was okay.
"Are you okay?" She asked.
"Ugh...yeah." He said with a tired tone. (Y/n) kept on her small smile and Lance returned the kind gesture.
