"Wait?! Why are you staying?!" I asked, another memory felt like it was repeating itself.
"Because, right now my place isn't with you. Pidge, I still need to find my mother, and you still need to find your family. Besides, I'm not a Paladin. My story isn't as important as yours." She explained to all of us in one simple paragraph. Everything she said was in most cases true, but she matters to me so much more than what she used too.
At first I thought for sure she couldn't be trusted, I thought she was working with the Galra. But over time I began to realize that wasn't true. She was taken prisoner by them, however, I still don't know what she's really been through...I can tell that's she's been through a lot. Especially when we first met. Wow...I guess I didn't really realize it at first, but she's so much more different than what she used to be. Sure, she still is mysterious, but she's much more lively than what she used to be.
"Paladins, it doesn't matter if she is staying or not. C'mon!" Allura snapped at us, she didn't even address (Y/n) before she began to turn in her heel and leave.
"Allura? Wait!" Lance said as he began to case after her.
"I'll see you guys again." (Y/n) calls to us with a sweet smile in her face and I can't help but feel hurt.
"I'm sure we will." Shiro says then looks towards us,
"C'mon guys. We have to go." I didn't move. I guess I just couldn't face the fact that (Y/n) was leaving me too. I felt tears begin to sting my eyes and I felt everything sour.
"Katie...c'mon." I heard Shiro quietly say, as he grabs onto my wrist. I don't even fight against him when he begins to drag me off. But then just when we were about to leave, I see her quickly making her way towards us.

"Wait!" I yelled just before Shiro and Pidge had left the hall. They stopped, thankfully, and waited for me. But once I had made it to them I had no idea what to say. I knew that I wanted to have a proper goodbye, but...it only really involved one of them. And knowing how Shiro feels...it makes the situation worse.
"Can I speak with Pidge...alone, please?" I asked carefully. Shiro seemed hurt that I didn't want to speak with him, but he granted my wish and left Pidge and I alone in the doorway.
"So..." I say, not knowing what to say, actually.
"I'm...I'm going to miss you—a lot actually." I hear Pidge mutter and I smiled. Just then I begin to wrap my arms around her, and she too does the same.
"I will too." I said. Then I pulled away to catch a quick glimpse of her face before she had to go.
"Please, don't change." Pidge stated to which I chuckled.
"No promises...but I'll try." I say, teasing her just a bit. She smiled and wiped the corner of her eye. And as I final goodbye token, I plant a quick kiss on her cheek and she immediately turned red. I giggled just a bit, and began to back away.
"Good luck out there...for all of you." I said. She brought her hand to her face, keeping on her dumb-goofy grin, then began backing away awkwardly.
