" your shirts ruined, felix."

changbin gently prodded at the large brown coffee stains on the other's previously pristine white shirt, tutting as he did so.

"oh, i wonder why?" felix replied, sarcasm dripping from his voice but grinning at the memory.

changbin gave a recognisable grunt in response before taking felix by the wrist and dragging him upwards off the bench.

they had been sitting together in the park, a few decent hours left until they were expected to arrive at the venue for the concert. they were planning to spend the entire day together, to make up for all the times they had to settle with face time instead. so far, it was a blast.

however, now that felix's shirt was ruined and changbin still looked absolutely dreadful in his work attire, they needed a place to change and be able to not look like kids who had been left unsupervised for too long.

"hey, would you mind if we stop round at my place for a second? i need to change and i can get you a new shirt too." changbin volunteered as a way to save the situation.

"sure!" the younger replied smoothly, and, as it seemed that it was a habit of his, took changbin by the arm.

they wandered together, changbin steering them in the direction of his flat. as they walked, the two casually chatted about everything imaginable.

" when did you get into BTS?"

changbin took a few seconds to respond:

" it was my then-boyfriend, actually. we were talking and then we dived deep into youtube and came back out as hardcore kpop fans" he chuckled lightly at the memory.

" thats cute. if you dont mind me asking, why'd you break up?" felix cautiously approached with the question, unsure if changbin was still sensitive about the topic.

" ah, its fine. it was my fault, really. he said i was being unbearably clingy and jealous and all that. which i guess is true. i get way too attached." changbin swallowed and looked at the ground, at their two pairs of feet walking side by side.

" if something im the clingy one!" felix exclaimed, and in the last attempt to recover some of the happiness and positivity they previously had, laughed and wrapped his around the other boy.

changbin couldn't help but smile.

"wow, your place is nice!"

felix admired the large apartment. he stood in the middle of the living room, observing the large beige sofa, the multiple cases littered with books, the large television on the wall, the soft and unbearably comforable carpet his feet now stood on. it was nicely furnished, felix thought to himself.

closing the door, changbin muttered a word of thanks and joined felix in the living room.

" are you hungry or anything? i can get you something before we leave" changbin, being the good host he was, offered.

"a coffee would be nice, thanks."

changbin turned and left for the kitchen silently, and gestured around the flat to indicate felix could explore.

-———————————————————————

felix almost started laughing out loud.

turns out changbin's room, the one on the left, had it's walls draped in black and dark grey, as were the desk and and cupboards. even his bed coverings were a checkered pattern of black, white and grey. felix found it hilarious.

however much he found the situation amusing, felix felt like an intruder as he cautiously stepped into the room, examining the surroundings. careful not to disrupt anything, felix found himself drawn to changbin's desk. it was littered with so much paper that it was almost impossible to see the actual desk underneath. under closer inspection, felix found that even though some were neatly typed documents, most of the papers were scrawled and hand written, looped words and messy writing. as he kept rifling through sheets of paper, some letters looked almost frantic. and when felix made the rash decision to actually start reading some extracts, he found they were all addressed to the same person.

stacks of letters all written or typed to one particular address and felix couldn't help but feel a pang somewhere deep in his gut.

" i'm waiting for you to come back to me"

" i'll wait forever if i have to"

" i think about you too much"

he felt a churn as if he was going to vomit. frantic, he dropped the papers he held in his hands and ran from changbin's bedroom, wanting to forget that ever growing stack of paper that changbin had spilled his thoughts onto, all clinging onto a lost love he couldn't have.
