Phil's POV
We arrived at the pool around six. We're immediately greeted by the epithetic glare of the lifeguard. Chris grabs my hand and pools me to the locker room to undress.
Chris: I wasn't expecting it to have this many people.
Phil: I think it just a swim team they're probably done soon.
Chris: Yeah probably. Are you ready?
Phil:... yeah.
Chris: How's your foot?
Phil: ....it's fine.
I give him a reassuring smile.
Chris: You sure?
He lifts his eyebrows and look worriedly at me.
Phil: ....yeah.
Chris: Ok let's go.
We exit the locker room and walk out into the pool area. It feels like everyone's eyes are on me. I hear a couple people whisper "oh my God isn't than Phil Lester?" "Isn't that the runner who broke his foot?"
Chris: Just ignore them.
Phil: It's harder than you think.
Chris turns away from me and then grabs my hand once again. He pulls me towards the diving platform.
Phil: Shouldn't we warm up first.
Chris:...
Chris doesn't answer me. What is he thinking? Why is he acting like this?
Chris: How long has it been since you last practiced diving.
Phil: A while maybe like 2 years.
Chris: I'll help you.
Phil: Uh—okay.
