This is an example of Lani's basic apartment layout. I picture it with an older looking paint/carpet scheme. Think 80s dark wood grain, etc. After all, it was intended as a quick place to crash as a new graduate being taken on from overseas, with the hospital choosing her housing. Form over function. 😉

I imagine the entry way being to an entryway into the living room on the left rather than the bottom wall, with the kitchen being more open than this layout suggests...with a living room/kitchen combo separated by a partial wall/counter and the dining table along the far wall opposite the bedrooms.
