I twirled around in my bright blue dress in front of my mirror.
"Do you like it?" My mother laughed.
"Yea."
"I hope you have fun, sweetie."
I smiled, "I will, mom."
"They'll be a lot of people from your father's position and some you may not know, so I want you to be polite."
"Okay."
She smiled and left my room.
Jaxass: hey.

Jaxass: what's up?
Getting ready for the dinner party.
Jaxass: My dad will be there too.
Why?
Jaxass: bc my mom's boy toy is coming tonight and he doesn't want to be there, so can he come?
Sure I guess.
Jaxass: cool, I'll tell him you said it was okay.
See you and your father there💕
Jaxass: OK we'll be there at 6, right?
Yep.
"Honey, can you come help set the table?" My mom called.
"Sure!" I yelled back.
I jumped down the stairs two at a time.
"You look beautiful," my dad pointed out with a smile.
"Thanks dad," I blushed.
Jaqueyln sent me a deep glare and I raised an eyebrow. What the hell did I do?
My mom handed me the plates and silverware, "set the table please?"
"Of course, mom."
"How many people are coming," my mom turned to my dad.
"Lets see, there's the Mathews, the Taylors, the Evans, and whoever the girls are inviting."
"Jax and his dad," I added.
My mom had a small smile on her face but I knew she loved my dad and had gotten over Jax's dad.
Jaqueyln was silent and it kinda shocked me a bit.
A knock at the door startled me, "I'll answer it," I walked to the door with a smile.
"Hey?"
I growled, "what the fuck do you want?"
"I was invited, Ems."
I shook my head, "no you weren't."
"Yes I was, Jaqueyln invited me."
I turned to Jaqueyln with a glare, "why is he here?!"
"I invited him."
I rolled my eyes, "no duh, but why?"
"He's my um friend," she looked at her floral heels.
Xavier stiffled a laugh, "yea, friend."
She mouthed, "shut the hell up!"
My dad walked over to us, "I wasn't expecting this Parker brother."
"Yea, I'm sorry."
He narrowed his eyes, "you're not fucking sorry."
Another knock on the door and this time my dad answered it, "Hey, Justin? Talk to your boy about coming uninvited."
"I was invited!" Xavier argued.
Justin glared at him, "don't argue with the president."
Jax walked in the doorway and his eyes immediately darkened, "why the fuck is he here?!"
Justin stepped between them, "get along."
Jax smirked, "I'll try."
His dad crossed his arms, "no you will."
Xavier groaned, "fine."
"Want to help me in the kitchen?" I asked Jax.
A smirk crossed his lips, "sure."
My dad glared at Jax, "watch yourself, boy."
He gave a slight nod but we all know he's not making any promises.
"So, what do you need help with?"
"The salad."
He grinned at me, "alright."
He opened the fridge and grabbed some bacon, shredded cheese, carrots, and some chicken?
"Why do you need all that?"
"My mom taught me how to make salad, she used to work at a restaurant."
I nodded, "my mom is a fashion designer but we have a cook so my parents never really taught me how to cook."
"Well, come here and I'll teach you how to make salad."
I watched over his shoulder as he blended the ingredients and added dressing. "
"What if people don't like that dressing?"
"Calm down, Emmy bear, they'll like it its my grandfather's recipe, he was a chef."
"Wow I'm jealous. You can cook, fight better than me, and you're hot."
He laughed, "I guess but believe me I'm not perfect."
I wrapped my arms around his waist and he relaxed his muscles a bit that were tense from Assvier showing up unexpectedly.
"I know but you're closer to it than your brother."
"Hell my brother is apparently shit compared to me huh?"
I laughed, "to me."
He looked at my dark brown eyes and leaned in but we were interrupted by Jaqueyln.
She rolled her blue eyes, "I was looking for some soda."
Jax narrowed his eyes at her, "get your shit and leave."
She smirked, "awe, were you busy?"
I gritted my teeth, "go fuck your boyfriend, why don't ya?"
She glared at me but then smiled deviously, "you're right, he's my boyfriend and not yours."
"I'm glad you have nice observation skills, now get out."
Xavier stood in the doorway like he wanted something, "Jaqueyln, come on."
"Awe of course, baby."
I breathed a sign of relief that my sister left.
"Please, promise me that you'll try to be nice to your brother tonight?"
He hesitated, "okay, fine."
I sat at the island and he sat next to me, "do you think I'll ever be able to forgive Assvier?"
He shook his head, "No and I wouldn't be able to either."
I layed my head against his chest, "my parents still don't know."
"I'm pretty sure its better that way."
I nodded, "yea, probably."
"Emmy, time for dinner!" My mother called.
I got off Jax and led him in the crystal dining room to eat.
Jesus Christ, how much can that guy carry? He was bringing the steak and salad; also the packs of wine and soda.
Young girls about my age were swooning over him and I even saw one girl scribble down her number. How far can that fork go down her throat?
Once my dad had taken the food from Jax, he slid in the gold cushioned seat next to me.
The girl mouthed to him across the table, "hey, I'm Isabel."
He ignored her and talked to me. Fuck isn't he awesome!
My mom clinked her glass, "can I have your attention please?"
Everyone turned to her.
"This meeting is for the account of we need to compromise an idea about the police."
Justin raised an eyebrow, "what about them?"
"Its just that we need more security in Washington DC, its the most political place in the country and our police is kinda slacking."
My father spoke up, "why don't we discuss this at a later date, for now we can enjoy the dinner party."
Everyone nodded in agreement.
"You're right, Jason."
Does my mom have a thing with J names?
"Hey, Jax? Why don't you tell us about your new girlfriend?"
Jax narrowed his brown eyes at Xavier, "really? I think everyone should know about yours, how long have you been dating?"
They were having a staredown at the moment and I couldn't deny that I was a little scared.
I grinned michevously, "so Xavier, when did you get involved with my sister?"
He arched an eyebrow, "get involved?"
I nodded, "yea, aren't you friends with benefits?"
Jaqueyln narrowed her eyes and mouthed, "shut the fuck up, you son of a bitch!"
Haha, she thought I was done.
My dad raised an eyebrow, "what?!"
I smirked, "yea daddy, he didn't do anything but slept with my sister."
Justin's eyes widened, "what the hell?! Xavier."
