Chapter 19 (Relaxing)

Two weeks had passed since the preliminaries. It was rough at first, but both the female team and the male team were able to return to their practices.

Sadly, Yui and Aihara, who were third years, had left volleyball because they had to focus on their final exams. All the team decided to let the position of the captain to Kikuchi. She was a second year and also, responsible enough to get the lead. At first, they wanted you to be the captain, because you were the one who fits the most of the team, but it wasn't possible since players with a libero position couldn't be captains.

On that moment, you were sitting next to Shimizu, happily taking notes from the training that the guys had started as soon as they could. Luckily, Hinata and Kageyama had gotten over their defeat already and were back to normal, like the rest of the team. All of them were determined to get stronger.

Regarding Nishinoya, you two had gotten closer. One day, after your exams were over, he even asked you for a date, but, of course, not mentioning the word 'date'. At first, you two were going alone, but feeling insecure, you told Tanaka and your friend, Yachi to come with you. After all, that would quit the tension of you two alone.

That day, you went to the cinema to watch an action film. You had heard from Ennoshita that Nishinoya loved that film genre. And it was true, he left the cinema with the happiest mood. After that, the four of you went to dinner while having a good time.

Yachi seemed to get along with the two boys, although at first she was shy. She wasn't still on a club, so you wondered if she would be interested in helping with the volleyball club. Maybe she could replace you the times you had to leave the manager position for training with your team. You will ask her later.

"Argh" You heard someone groan from the court. You stared at Nishinoya, who had been hit with a volleyball in the face, making his nose bleed a little. Asahi, the one who had punch the ball, started to shiver and murmured a bunch of apologises, but the short boy quickly calm his friend down, laughing it off.

Regardless, the coach ordered Nishinoya to go out of the court until he was okay, so he came and sat besides you in the bench. You quickly took a towel and, approaching him, you pressed it in his nose to stop the hemorrhage.

The boy got nervous at your sudden close distance and gently hold the towel. "I can clean it myself" He told you, so you could stop holding it. You didn't move though and Nishinoya looked at you confused. "Come on, let me take care of you a little. You've been working really hard lately" You whispered back at him, with a cute and playful voice that made him go red and look away.

"You know, it's rare of you to get distracted playing. You always look super concentrated" You told him, when the blood stopped coming out. He returned his gaze to you, now calmer.

It was true that he hardly ever missed a ball, but it was also true that on that practise, volleyball wasn't the only thing he was thinking about.

He had been sure about his feelings for you for a long time and wanted madly to confessed. He felt like, if he didn't say it, his body would move on his own every time he saw you. So, because he wanted to make it perfect, he was planning a date, one where you two could be alone in a beautiful place. Just thinking about it made his head boil.

Noticing his rare behaviour, you put a hand in his back, making him even more aware of your movements. "You look tense" You whispered, standing up and walking behind him as you put your hands gently around his neck. He instantly flinched when he felt your soft hands pressed against his back, giving him a massage.

"(Y-Y-Y/N)-chan, w-what are y-you doing...?" He muttered, feeling, if possible, redder than before. That's great, while he was giving his best to hold back until he confessed, you start to touch him like that. His heart felt like a bomb.

"Just relax. A senpai taught me how to give a massage" You told him, remembering the time Aihara showed you when a mate had a backache.

You gently rubbed your hands in between his muscles, while Nishinoya had wide eyes. He couldn't help but put his hands in his red face. If his teammates saw him like that, they'll surely tease him about it.

On your part, you noticed that your touch made him nervous. You felt extremely happy thinking that, maybe the reason of that was that Nishinoya had a crush on you. You, as well had been thinking about your feelings and had constantly the urge to tell him out loud. However, your shyness was on the way and you knew that if you were to say it, your words just wouldn't go out.

You kept making your hands dance in his back, feeling every part of it. His muscles, his bones and even the sweat he had generate a few minutes ago. You also noticed that he was, indeed, pretty fit.

Your mind rushed, and you couldn't help but imagine how Nishinoya would look without a shirt on. That would be pretty ho-... Wait! What are you thinking about?! You shook your head in order to erase all dirty thoughts of your mind. He was just in front of you.

Suddenly, as you pressed a certain spot on his back, you heard a weird sound. You kept pressing it and realised that Nishinoya had his eyes closed and he was purring. You fell in love with that reaction, it was just really really cute. You made a mental note of giving him a massage often so you could press that spot and see him like that.

Just as you were about to finish the massage, the guys finished the set. You hadn't been taking notice of what was happening and looked at Shimizu, who tell you that she had done your notes. When you looked back at the court, all the guys were looking at Nishinoya and you, with your hands still rubbing his back.

"God dammit, why are they so lovey dovey" Tsukishima complained with a disgusted face and Yamaguchi awkwardly laughed.

"(Y/N)-san, do you know how to give a massage?" You heard Hinata asking you, but before you could respond he continued. "Please give me on-... OUCH" He was interrupted by Kageyama, who had chopped his head, while Sugawara grabbed him by his back and pushed him behind, hoping you hadn't hear him.

Yeah, all the team knew the ship between you two.

Out of the blue, a loud sound was heard from the entrance of the gym and Takeda-sensei appeared, running like always. "Everyone! I have great news!" He yelled and tried to catch his breath. Daichi ordered all the team to form up around the teacher and wait for his message.

"We are going to Tokyo!"
