You tensed, jumping slightly, as your eyes slowly opened. Squinting, you looked around your room to only see that it was still dark. You sighed, closing your eyes and tried to get back to sleep. It didn't work. Two minutes later, your eyes flickered opened again, but this time you sat up and rubbed your face. A moment later, you looked over to the clock 11:27pm.

You swing your legs over the bed and stand up, stretching for a second. Now you were awake, you might as well cure your partially dry mouth. Running a hand through your hair, you sleepily walked out of your room and towards the glasses in the cupboard; in the kitchen. Eyes half closed; you grabbed a glass, filled it with water then drank it. No more dry mouth, thankfully.

As you were putting the glass down, your remembered what Thor had told you some while ago, about Loki yelling in the middle of the night. Eyes now more open, you stared down at the glass and wondered if going to check on him was a good idea, considering last time.

You ran out of your room, on your tiptoes - like any six year old would. Giggling to yourself, you stopped at Loki's door and put an ear to it. Considering you had only been with the princes for two years, you felt as if you had known them for your entire little life. You could hear light and muffled snores. Turning the door knob, you stepped in and shut the door behind you lightly. Creeping up on Loki, you giggled silently, but as soon as you were going to jump onto him and his bed to scare him, he vanished. You fell, face first, onto Loki's bed. Then, you heard chuckling behind you. When you turned, you saw him sitting on a chair a little too big for him - laughing. You frowed. "I heard you talking to yourself about it yesterday, so I waited all night for you." Hitting his bed with both arms, you hummed sadly. When you looked back up, he was gone. "Loki?" You whispered, suddenly being jumped upon. You muffled a scream into his bed, your heart jumping way out of your chest. It scared you so much, you had tears sitting in your eyes. Loki laughed while he was getting off you, not being able to see your tears yet. Slipping down, you sat on his floor pouting sadly, almost about to cry. "Y/N?" He sat down infront of you, "Are you crying?" You shrugged your shoulders. "I'm sorry." He held out his arms for a hug. Looking at him for a second, you did too, and you both hugged.

You pushed it behind you; you were six, didn't know what his tricks looked like yet and you were easily scared, so you went to find him. You went over to the locked room his was in, unlocked it, and peeped inside. No one. You squinted. "What?" You muttered to yourself, just before realising he was moved two days ago. You shut the door, locked it, then went over to his new room. Him and Thor had been here for three months now, Loki had finally proven himself. You were surprised, you would have thought that it would have taken way longer, but Fury saw his potential (surprisingly) and had let him try out a proper room.

You slowly pushed open his door, looking through a gap big enough for your head, and saw him sleeping. You smiled. Opening it wider, you slipped through and shut the door behind you. Carefully, trying not to wake him, you walked to his bed side and looked over him. He seemed peacefully asleep, although you couldn't exactly see his entire face well. Smiling, you watched at how at ease he seemed and thought about how long it had been since you last saw him like this.

"I thought it was considered weird to do that here, Y/N." You saw one of his eyes open, and your smile vanished. "I was just making sure you were okay..." You partially lied to yourself. "For that long?" He questioned. Now sitting up, turning on the lamp, with a smug grin and his eyebrows slightly raised. "Well, what do you say to that, Y/N?" "It was not that long," You looked to the side for a moment, then back to him - between blinks. "If that makes you feel better, then I shall let it be." You chuckled silently, "Thank you."

"So you want to sleep with me?" You choked, "-excuse me, Loki?" "You want to sleep with me?" He had one eyebrow raised. "Loki, this is-" "Not like that. As in, you want to share a bed with me for tonight." Your face flushed out of embarrassment. "Oh..." You couldn't believe what you had just assumed him to have asked you.

"So?" "Will it make you feel better?" You asked. "I am doing it for you, though." You hummed in confusion. "I see it in your eyes, why you are here, Y/N. You were worried that I was not okay." He smirked as he told you. "Well, of course, Loki. I worry for you." You stuttered slightly. You could see a small amount of his teeth as his grin grew wider, "I see that you do. So, you want to sleep with me too. Do you not?" "Are we not a little too old for this, Loki?" "Who is to say? We live much longer than these Midgardians." You smiled. "Fine. I will sleep with you, for tonight only." You walked around the bed to the other side, and got under the covers. You felt a little shy, since the last time you both did this you were only kids.

Curling up, on one side of his bed, you made sure to keep your distance. "If you stay any further away, you will fall off the bed." You looked behind you, making you almost fall, but Loki quickly grabbed your waist. "I told you." Pulling you closer to himself, he chuckled noticing you were shy. "I still don't bite." He muttered, removing his arm as soon as you were right infront of him.
