"Come with me! Come!" Abigail tugged on your arm as you finished your morning routine. "I'm coming," You smiled as she lead you into the livingroom. "What is this?" You asked, looking to everyone sitting down. "I want to show mummy the trick daddy taught me!" Abigail announced, standing upright with her hands behind her back.
Running away for a moment, and coming back with her hands still behind her back, she stood infront of you formally as everyone started to shift around smiling. "What is it-?" You started and she suddenly smiled and revealed a beautiful single rose. "Happy Mother's day!" She said with the widest smile on her face. "W-?" Startled, your brain refused to process it, and you took the rose; allowing Loki to explain so you could catch up. His eyes fell to the ground for a moment, but were soon back to you as he had a smile on his face.
Looking down to it you chuckled, "Was this the trick your father was talking about?" She nodded fast, "He said they always make mummy happy." You put a hand to your face trying to stop yourself from smiling too much. "I see. Thank you, Abigail," You hugged her and she squealed gratefully. Still hugging her, since she wouldn't let go, you looked at the rose from over her small shoulder and remembered the first time you were given one alone; when Abigail was only one.
"Go rest," Clint said, "Don't worry about it." "I'm not tired-" You tried to tell him. "Hey- hey, it's fine, go." Shrugging, you left to your room; still wondering where Loki and Abigail were. When you opened the door, you were mid-blink and seeing the bed missing made you hold your breath. Seeing Loki, standing to the side with his hands behind his back, you took a breath after a couple seconds and asked where the bed had gone. He looked like he was trying to find the words, but didn't know how to explain, so you shut the door and walked over to him. Holding the parts of his arms visible, you started to speak, "Are-?" You stopped talking as his hands came around. You looked down between your own arms to see the most vibrant rose you had come across while on Midgard. You slowly lifted away your hands and he started to talk. "I figured that since we haven't really been able to do much, of course, I thought that I would go out and get you a long overdue small gift..." Your heart melted inside and just fell as you took it slowly and smiled. "You didn't have to, Loki," You smiled, twirling the flower between your fingers. "But look how happy it's made you," He muttered. You giggled like a Midgardian teen talking to her crush. "Only because it's from you," You looked up to him and smiled even wider. While he was off guard, you kissed him; still smiling stupidly. "I also have something else," He started, "I know how much you've been into incredibly old music on Midgard and I've seen you try to dance to it too-" "Oh, that's- that's embarrassing," You laughed. "I may have learnt it- if you ever wanted to dance with me," He told you, slowly getting quieter towards the end. Your heart was only just being put back into shape before it was flung out of your chest. "Really?" You asked, softly. He scratched the back of his neck with a nervous smile, avoiding eye contact most of the time. Moving so he could see you while looking down, you asked: "Well, could I dance with you now?" "Of course," He stood a little more upright, his head up high with a grateful smile as he changed his outfit to fit a traditional Midgardian ballroom tail suit. As you tried not to fall over about the way he looked, you changed into a traditional Midgardian ballroom gown. As the two of you danced to the music of that time, the awkwardness quickly left his eyes. "Seeing you look like this in these old Midgardian clothes may just make me regret not looking into their history sooner," He confessed. "Is the great God of Mischief blushing due to my presence?" You teased. "Always," He smiled, coming down to kiss you lightly.
"Is mummy happy?" She asked. You smiled, staying on your knees, and holding her hands, "Of course, I am Abi, this is beautiful."
