"Are you still awake?" You heard him mumble into the pillow beside you. "Yes," You admitted, "You should go back to sleep." "I'll stay awake with you," He lifted his head and set it in a better manner in order to see you. Resting his hand on top of one of yours, he smiled sleepily and embraced you lightly.

Moments had passed and the two of you just held hands, now on your backs, looking up to the ceiling as you used the other to hold your stomach. "You know, it's been about 9 weeks since I could feel her kicking, but it still makes me so happy," You smiled; unsure about whether the sentence made sense or not. "Soon you'll be able to hold her too," He said, a smile clearly on his face. You smiled widely at the thought, so much so that you laughed too.

You sighed, "I wonder what would change though..." Loki asked what you meant, turning his head to look at you. As you did the same, you replied, "How long will it be until things will be back to normal? I won't be able to do anything for a long time when she's born." "Don't feel too responsible," He said, confidently, "I'm going to help you the most I can. You're still going to be able to do everything you want."

Loki smiled at you, unsure whether it was the way you really felt, or the sleepless nights and aches getting to you. Either way, he understood and reassured you that he was going to support you as much as he could. After all, if it weren't for his own actions, you may not have ended up pregnant.

Many hours later, you woke up, having (for once) got a couple hours sleep. Loki was already awake and came over to make sure you were okay getting up. "How do you feel?" He asked. "Sore... but I can manage," You smiled; so deeply thankful for his presence.

After he had helped you with your temporary morning routine, he took you to the kitchen. Every so often you helped him with what he had to do, and he always told you to go and sit back down. Coming over, with it all cooked, he smiled nervously. "I've been doing this for weeks and each day I'm still worried whether it's good enough for you—" "Loki, everyday it has been beyond," You smiled, emotionally, "Thank you." He furrowed his brows and smiled, unsure, "I hope so."

"If you treat me any better, I should never even need to get up," You laughed, watching him wash up for you regretfully, "You should have let me." "But you're busy," He replied; you could hear the smile in his voice. "Am I?" "Yes," He turned, with a grin, "Holding our child, dear." You could have sworn he did it on purpose, but you were too busy shying at it all. You smiled, "I guess I am."
