You asked him if he was okay. He nodded, with a huge smile, "Thank you." Smiling back, you nodded, letting the police then question him about the event that had just took place.
You watched proudly as another mission was successful. Stark and Natasha came over to you, asking if eachother was alright. "I'll... you know, talk to these guys," He pointed to the police and me and Natasha nodded, waving, then headed back to the tower.
"So, thought about it?" She asked. You hummed in confusion. "Loki?" Your cheeks suddenly heated and you looked away; looking forward. "Slightly..." She nudged you to share. Sighing, in defeat you told her what had happened yesterday.
"You two-?" She asked, in a shocked whisper. You nodded, nibbling on your lip nervously. She smiled widely, which quickly turned into a smirk, "Well, how did you find it? Did you like it?" You shrugged. "You kissed back, right?" Shyly, you nodded. "It wasn't very long... Thor was soon at my door." You laughed awkwardly.
She sighed at Thor, but soon asked quickly, "We're you happy? Happy that it happened?" You didn't want to admit it. Not really. You couldn't admit it; could you? You hesitated, "Y-yes...?" What on Midgard did you just do? Natasha smiled widely, "Do you like him?" "Hey, we are almost there..." You said, unsuccessfully trying to change the subject. "Honestly, I think you do, Y/N."
"I can't, even if I did. He is just a close friend-" "And close friends usually don't kiss." She turned to you, raising her eyebrows. You looked to her, then down and away. "I don't know..." You muttered, and after a moment you both reached the tower.
You both took the elevator up, and walked out and got to the livingroom area. "How was it?" Rogers asked, eyebrows slightly raised. You nodded, with a smile, as Natasha replied. "Good, Stark's sorting out the police." Rogers nodded and turned back to the tv.
You both saw Thor and Loki at the table, in the kitchen, and you quickly tried to avoid being noticed. Unfortunately, Natasha pulled your arm smoothly and dragged you over to them.
Thor turned, hearing footsteps, "Hello, Y/N, Natasha." You smiled to him, and Loki turned around. "It's good to see you both," He smiled a small smirk, looking up. You avoided eye contact, swallowed hard, and looked down slightly. "It's good to see you too, Loki." Natasha smiled, obviously finding the situation fun.
"I need to go to my room, excuse me." You couldn't handle it any further, your heart was racing and your cheeks were hot. You rushed to your room, shaking nervously.
Loki watched you go, slightly sadly, but turned back to the other two. Natasha sighed, "I should see if she's okay - that was weird." "I will go," He started, "You can keep Thor company." "You make it seem as if I am a child." Loki sighed, getting up, and walked away with a good pace.
He kept his hands behind his back while he made his way to your room, growing more awkward with each step. A very short moment later, he reached your door. He hesitated to knock, at first, but soon shook his doubts away and knocked.
Your eyes darted to the door, as it made you jump slightly, and you got up off your bed. You changed your clothes, into some more comfortable, then opened the door. "Ye-s?" You tensed, shying down seeing Loki. "Can I come in?" He asked, and you nodded; moving out of the way for him.
He walked passed you, and you shut the door. He turned on his heel and looked at you. "Are you okay?" You replied with a nodded. "Are you sure about that? You look a little shy," You heard the smile in his voice. You walked passed him, and looked out of your window; so he couldn't look at your face.
"Of course, I am." You told him, in a mutter. "And why is that?" You heard him ask from across the room. You mentally face palmed, cheeks getting warm. "Why do you think?" You asked. You heard his footsteps approaching you, slowly, making the hair on your neck stand. "Well, Y/N, I would think it's because I kissed you, but that might not be why." He replied, standing behind you.
He knew that he was playing a risky game, acting as if he wasn't as shy as you were - clearly. "You guessed right." He heard you admit, but he kept silent. A moment passed, and he replied to you. "Why?" "What do you mean?" He listened to you. "Why are you shy about it?" He extended. "Because..." He saw you shrug. "Did you not like it?" He, calmly, panicked. "I-..." The small stutters were the only thing he heard, before you gave up and kept silent. He worried that you didn't, that he had messed up your friendship. He didn't even know why he did it, he'd never kissed anyone before - not like that - he's never needed to, nor wanted to.
You didn't even know the answer to that question. How were you supposed to answer to him? "I don't know..." You told him, uncomfortably, your shoulders now hugging your neck. "Do you want to-?" You heard him hesitate, moving lightly. "Wh-?" Without realising, you turned back to him and you both stared at eachother for a while.
"Nothing. If you're okay, I will be leaving now." You watched Loki awkwardly turn and walk towards the door; fiddling with his hands nervously. You wanted to call out for him to stop, but you had no reason to. You watched him leave your room, shutting the door behind himself. Your shoulders slumped, regretting your decision.
Then, you thought of the question he had asked. You stopped pushing yourself around and sighed deeply. You muttered under your breath, "I wouldn't mind." Putting your hands to your face, your regretted everything. Why couldn't you have just said it?
