You've always held feelings for a special someone ever since you were little. He saved you from the eternal darkness, gave you a reason to love in the miserable world. He gave you a family.
It was Alibaba, Alibaba Saluja.
That blond, clumsy, strangely great at digging holes captured your heart. His determination, courage and humble personality made you drawn to him. You, Alibaba, Kassim and Mariam were left alone after Alibaba's mother died. You looked after each other, like siblings, playing in the scruffy dirt floors and garbage dumps. You had each other, then Alibaba left, Mariam died.
It was only you and Kassim. You mourned for the loss of Mariam, weeped for Alibaba's departure to the palace. He left you, had he not noticed the feelings you saved for him all these years? Or did he decided to fall in love with another, a rich princess of a foreign land? There's no way he would ever look at you the same way again, a poor, scruffy girl of the slums.
Until today, it settled down the years of pain.
Giving out a gasp, you saw a glimpse of the all-too-familiar blond hair in the distance. Kassim behind you do not flinch, however, shock was evident on his face. As the figure drew closer, you confirmed that it was Alibaba. His fancy clothes shone under the dim sunlight, carefully ironed, with sparkling jewels adorned on the fabric.
You instantly started shaking, trying to swallow back the lump in your throat.
"(Y/N), Kassim!" He called, as Alibaba raised a hand, waving.
Immediately unsheathing the dagger around your waist, you charged towards him. The fire of your hatred, deep in you eyes, reaching your heart, burning those feelings as you held for him all at once. Yet, a firm tug was felt behind you as you watched wide eyes as Kassim held you back.
"(Y/N), let's go back."
Feeling anger consume you, you was about to slap his hands away, however he also held tightly on your wrist.
"NO HE LEFT US WE ARE NOT JUST LEAVING WITHOUT BEATING THE CRAP OUT OF HIM!" You screamed, slashing fiercely. You always thought the reason Kassim stayed quiet was because he held back his pain. Now, you realised he never cared.
"(Y/N)." Kassim muttered lowly, his voice filled with venom as he stared at you commandingly, "I said, let's go back."
Feeling the tears stream down you face, you allowed him to lead you away from Alibaba, into the bends and twists of the dark alleys. As you two arrived at the tent he stayed in, you could not take it anymore.
"WHY THE HELL DID YOU DO THAT FOR KASSIM?! DON'T YOU CARE THE FACT HE LEFT US ALONE?!" You yelled, trying punch him, "I THOUGHT HE WAS THERE FOR ME WHEN I NEEDED HIM!"
"I do care."
"THEN WHY-" you were silenced by the gentle kiss by Kassim.
Once it was over you felt light headed and instantly became quiet. Feeling the right arms you body, you felt the emotions slowly settle into place, warmth replaced the hatred, now slowly blossoming inside your chest.
"I've always been here for you (Y/N)."
