Return of Kopa #4

Going back

Kion paces around in circles while waiting for his friends so they could begin training.
"Where are they? We need to be ready to take back the Pridelands and save Fuli." He grumbles.
"Hey Kion, when exactly are we taking back to PrideRock?" Asks Bunga.
"There you are. We will go back soon." Kion replies.
"How long is soon? We've been training for weeks." Asks Ono as he too arrives.
"We're ready Kion." Says Beshte.
"I don't know. I just don't want to fail again." Sighs Kion. "I'll think about it."

They begin training.
"Ono, circle! Bunga, confuse them! Beshte, charge!" Commands Kion.
This is one of the many tactics they've been practicing. They train until lunch time.
"Ok, I think it's time for a break." Says Kion.
Ono, Bunga and Beshte run/fly away as fast as they can and Kion laughs at them.
"They should see their faces." He laughs.
Kion walks away to a small clearing to talk to his grandfather, Mufasa.
"Grandfather? Are you there?"
"Yes Kion, what's wrong?"
"Are we ready to fight Kopa?"
"What do you think Kion?"
"I don't know. I feel ready but I don't think I'm ready."
"Are your friends ready?"
"They say they are and I believe them. It's just...me I guess."
"Kion, you are ready. You just need to believe."
"But how are we supposed to defeat him?"
"When the guard is back together you need to be one with one voice."
Mufasa disappears into the clouds. Kion tries to process what he had been told. He places his paw on his shoulder so it covers the mark of the lion guard. It gave him hope and strength whenever he touches it.
"We're going back." Kion whispers to himself.
He waits for his friends to return. When they did, they find Kion looking up at the clouds while touching the mark.
He turns to look at them. "We're going back."
"We are?!" Bunga cheers.
"When do we leave?" Asks Beshte.
"Whenever you're ready." Kion replies. "Make sure everyone's ready. We leave in a few hours."
Ono, Bunag and Beshte leave to round up the others. Kion stays behind to try and build some more confidence.

Kion finishes singing and roars the roar of the elders for dramatic effect.

Kion meets with his friends and family to discuss the plan.
"Here's the plan. We know that Fuli is Kopa's queen so she must be close by. We must get to Fuli and make sure she's not in any danger; we don't want Kopa to hold Fuli hostage. Everyone must take out the hyenas, jackals and any other enemies. I'll handle Kopa." Explains Kion.
"Are you sure you can take on Kopa?" Asks Simba.
"Yes. If I don't who else will?" Replies Kion.
Simba nods. "Does everyone agree with the plan?"
Everyone agrees.
"Ono, Zazu, fly ahead and tell us where the hyenas and jackals are so we can find a place to hide. If you find Fuli, tell her the plan and get ready." Orders Kion.
"You got Kion." Says Ono.
"As you wish." Says Zazu.
"Ok everyone, let's move out!" Orders Kion.
