ALORN POV:

I couldn't resist staying away from her, so I went to seek my answer, but instead, I made a terrible mistake. How could I say something hurtful to her? How could I make her cry when all I wanted was to be the reason for her smile? Seeing her in the hospital shattered me, and I was terrified that she would leave me again, but thankfully, she recovered.

When I heard that she had opened her eyes, I went to see her, but I hesitated upon seeing her parents crying. I caught a glimpse of her from the hospital door and decided to head to the office. These days have been the most challenging for me, as I can't concentrate on work at all. I try to immerse myself in my tasks, but her memories keep distracting me. Sometimes, I want to be close to her, while other times, I regret everything.

As I entered my cabin, Dany, my secretary, greeted me. He was on a call but hung up upon seeing me and handed me a file. I dismissed him and started working. Suddenly, the door to my cabin swung open, and an angry Keith entered, taking a seat in front of me and glaring at me. I tried to ignore him, but he snatched the file and began speaking his mind. "What was that, Alorn? I thought you were mature enough to handle problems, but it seems you're still acting like a child. You should have thought things through before taking such a step," he said in one breath.

"What are you talking about, Keith? I don't have time for your nonsense, so get to the point," I replied in a firm tone. "Alorn, do you really want me to explain when you know the accident could have been serious, and she could have been hurt even more? How could you do that? You should have given her some time. Things would have worked out when the time was right," he said, placing the file on the desk. His response angered me, and I raised my voice. "When will the time be right, Keith? I've waited long enough, and I've already lost her once. But not this time, Keith. If I let her go now, she'll be gone forever. I know it was my fault for letting her leave, and I should have made her stay, but that one mistake cost me the love of my life. If I could go back, I would rectify those mistakes, Keith. I feel guilty for what happened," I sighed in frustration.

"If you truly want her back, try reaching out to her in a better way. How about starting a new chapter together? Both of you can forget about the past and find happiness again," he suggested, and that's exactly what I've been trying to do. "Keith, I found out that she isn't married and is still single. She..." I was about to continue, but he interrupted me. "But why was the little boy calling her 'mom,' and why was she responding to him in the same way? It feels like I know him, but I can't recall," he pondered. "I asked my contact to gather information, and all he found out was that the boy is her son."

"But why did she keep it a secret? Is there something she has lied about?" he questioned, looking at me intently. "I don't know, and even if he is her son, I don't care. I will accept him as my own, and as you say, time will reveal everything, so let's just wait and see," I said, moving toward the window when suddenly, my secretary called me. "What? Why? And when?" I responded to the call. Ending the conversation, I looked at Keith with pleading eyes. He understood my gesture and shook his head negatively.

"Please, Keith, this is the last time. That woman is unpredictable, and I don't want to spoil my mood. Just this once, please. I want to win back the love of my life," I pleaded with all my might, and he stood up, heading toward the door. My happiness turned into sadness, but then he turned around and smiled. I hugged him like a brother, filled with hope to reunite with my love.
