10 years later
Soon after Christine told Raoul about her being pregnant, they were married. Raoul gained a horrible drinking and gambling addiction when they were on their honeymoon.
After Christine gave birth to her son Gustave, Raoul and them moved back to Paris.
"Mother may I go play?"
"Of course darling."
Gustave put down his book and walked over to their piano. Christine noticed that Gustave loved music, almost more than she did. Gustave would love it when his mother would sing to him, Gustave also taught himself the piano, and he learned to read sheet music at just four years old.
"Gustave what are you playing?"
"The queen of the night by Mozart. Do you like it?"
"Yes it's beautiful."
Gustave continued to play as Christine finished reading her book. As Christine got up to put her book away Raoul walked through the front door.
"Good evening Raoul."
He did not reply.
"What is it darling?"
"A note from Mr. Hammerstein, he would like you to sing at the opening of his new Manhattan Opera House."
"That's wonderful. What's the matter Raoul?"
"Nothing. We leave for America tomorrow."
Raoul left walking up stairs to go pack.

Erik's POV
"Ten long years
Living a mere facade of life
Ten long years
Wasting my time on smoke and noise
In my mind
I hear melodies pure and unearthly
But I find
I can't give them a voice without you"

"My Christine, my Christine
Lost and gone, lost and gone
The day starts
The day ends
Time crawls by
Night steals in pacing the floor
The moments creep
Yet I can't bear to sleep
'Til I hear you sing
And weeks pass
And months pass
Seasons fly
Still you don't walk through the door
And in a haze
I count the silent days
'Til I hear you sing once more
And sometimes at night time
I dream that you are there
But wake holding nothing
But the empty air
And years come
And years go
Time runs dry
Still I ache down to the core
My broken soul
Can't be alive and whole
'Til I hear you sing once more
And music, your music
It teases at my ear
I turn and it fades away
And you're not here
Let hopes pass
Let dreams pass
Let them die
Without you, what are they for?
I'll always feel
No more than halfway real
'Til I hear you sing once more."

"Erik have you seen the news?"
Madam giry called entering his office.
"No what is it?"
"Christine Daae will be singing at the opening of Mr. Hammerstein's new Manhattan Opera House. She left Paris this morning."
Erik turned to Madam Giry.
"Where will they be staying?"
"Here on Coney Island. Erik this is your chance to get her back."
"Thank you Madam."
She nodded and left. Christine is coming here this is my chance to get her back. I need her now more than ever.

"Oh Christine, my Christine, yes you've fled from me once before
But Christine, what we shared, even you can't ignore!
My Christine, I'll be no longer denied; I'll have you back by my side, my sweet Christine!
And come what may, I swear, somehow, some way, I will hear you sing once more!"
