Betrayal.
Do you know what betrayal is?
I'll tell you, for me, what it is,It's when I am left aside for better company,
It's when I am joked about for better harmony,It's when I am tossed aside for popularity,
It's when I am overlooked for familiarity,It's when I'm ditched on the sides,
Because I'm one who hides,Hides from vulgarity and stupidity, of course,
And then I laugh from the sidelines, without remorse,Betrayal cuts deep, leaves ugly gashes,
Looks hideous, hurts to even look at the slashes,But then, guess I'm just smarter, more mature,
And then I just stand there and mock the immature,It's definitely entertaining to watch, the display of idiocy,
While I still manage to maintain total decency,The betrayal hurts, but I've got more self-respect,
Besides, I've noticed, the ones on the sides have more intellect.********
(P.s. it's 2:20am)
So I'll take your leave.
Bye, people.

الشعرHi. I'm a feminist who writes poetry because I'm in love with English literature. I've also had a romantic history which is confusing, (and almost funny) yet emotionally turbulent. And so this fact makes for a bunch of good things to write on.
