Well, it seemed liked you guys liked the first bit of this story so... here's some more! Leave me some feedback in the comments? Enjoy! (Like all my stories ever, this is unedited 😂)Emma ran out of the classroom faster than a bullet the minute the bell rang. She couldn't stand to remain in that dreadful room a moment longer than she had to. Especially when she could feel British Boy's eyes still on her.
The halls were a sea of tall people. Being a petite girl, it was easy to get shoved and pushed around. Especially being the new girl that nobody was willing to take in.
"Sorry," Emma mumbled, having accidentally bumped into someone.
"Watch where you're going, freak."
Emma didn't answer. She hung her head and tried to walk away.
"Hey, I'm not done talking to you!"
"Just leave me alone," Emma pleaded, pulling her arm away when the guy she'd bumped grabbed it.
He shoved her into the lockers nearby, earning a groan of pain from Emma. She stood back up, trying to get away, but his friends had gathered now.
"Hey, leave her alone," came a voice.
British Boy? Emma wondered, recognizing the accent.
"Come on, Killian, look at her. If she's even a her. More like an it," one of the guys joked. Emma scowled, her hands tightening into fists.
"Shut up," she growled angrily.
"Freak's got teeth."
"I said, leave her alone. Shove off, Sidney, I mean it."
Emma let out an angry breath, her brows still pulled together in frustration as the crowd of boys dissipated.
"You alright?" Killian asked.
Emma scoffed.
"Listen up, British Boy, I don't need your help, alright? I already know exactly what you think of me, and to be honest, I don't like you all that much either. Just leave me alone," Emma glared, turning to walk away.
"Wait, Swan's your name right? Look, I'm sorry for what I said in there. Everyone else was talking and they looked to me, expecting me to do the same. I didn't mean it," Killian said, going after her.
"You still said it. That makes you just as bad as them," Emma shook her head, and walked away.
"I'm not what you think," he argued, chasing after her again.
"Look, what do you want from me, British Boy?! Go back to your posse. Don't want to ruin your reputation, do you?" Emma glowered, and walked away again. This time, Killian didn't follow.
Two weeks into the school year, and life hadn't improved for Emma. She was a complete loner. Nobody knew who she was, and honestly? Nobody cared to find out. It wasn't like Emma made that much of an effort to be a ray of sunshine, anyways. She was better off on her own. At least, that's what she told herself.
The treatment she'd been receiving from the Barkley's wasn't good either. She'd made the mistake of trying a new route to walk home the day before, and it had taken double the time for her to arrive. She was punished pretty badly for that.
When she came into school the next morning with bruises on her face and arms, Emma wasn't expecting anybody to notice. She entered her first class of the day, English with Ms. Lucas, with her head hung low.
She could feel somebody's eyes on her.
British Boy, she thought, glancing up to find his gaze fixated on her. She glared at him and went back to her work.
