Ember's P.O.V

I'm as pathetic as it gets. I felt so much pity for Trix that I was granting his wish. He flew open the door, a childish excitement overwhelming him as he leaned down to kiss me. I pushed him by the chest one-handed.

"I didn't come here to make out," I said, looking into his pale blue eyes.

"Then what did you come here for?"

"To apologize." He raised his dark eyebrows, growing smug. "I-", I cut short, literally unable to say the words. "I apologize for running away. And killing you. Your turn." I placed my hands on my hips.

"How about I physically show you how sorry I am." He connected our lips, interlocking before I could stop him. I got lost in his affections myself, my hands finding his tailbone. It was like drugs: addicting and intoxicating.

"Fuck it," I breathed, giving up on my vow to resistance. We made our way to the bed in our room at Carrie's. I did all the work, taking both of our clothes off. He slammed me into the wall, pinning my back against it, slipping inside me. I gasped in pleasure, feeling nothing like it in my entire life. Even when I had sex with Viberant Dawn, who had quite the package and talent.

After we got done, we each slid to the floor in exhaustment and satisfaction, sweat rolling down his spine. We kept our bodies pressed against one another, Trix taking advantage of the after sex cuddle.

"Okay, time for me to go." I tried to squirm from under him, his expression of devastation stopping me as soon as I saw it.

"You're going to leave?"

"No," I half-smiled, knowing of his grown attachment. And now I was his first, as he hoped for me to be the only one for now on. "I'll just get us some cheese and wine from Carrie's fridge. It's romantic." He looked confused, knowing nothing of the subject, yet still intrigued.

As soon as I got out the door, I slipped one of Carrie's thick coats on over my sports bra and thongs. I put on her boots, therefore the outdoors being fourteen degrees, the snow thick yet icy. I pranced down the street, hoping that Trix trusted me enough to wait.

"Hey, are you running away from your boyfriend?" Nathan yelled out the window. I tried to ignore him as he insulted, "you ungrateful bitch." Trix swung open the front door, running to a stance in front of me, only in his underwear.

He instantly sobbed and cried, flailing his arms like a child. I couldn't even tell what he was saying. He shivered from the cold, his face in tears and snot. I pulled him into me, realizing his bare feet.

He cared that much, and I still tried to leave him. I helped him inside, knowing that I couldn't make the excuse of his insanity. Therefore, I was falling for him, which makes me just as insane.

Ethan's P.O.V

Yet again, (as though we didn't suffer enough the last time) Carrie forced us all to sit in the living room with one another, forced to "bond". The Chosen Animals ran off to do their own things whenever Carrie gathered everyone.

"Now, you must have all heard about the fact that I'm an Enemy. I can't make you do anything besides live in my household. The thing is, the Magic War is coming up. If the Enemies win, you follow by my orders."

"And if we don't?" Ember sassed.

"I get to punish you however I please. Case dismissed." She waltzed out of the room, leaving us with a grumpy trio of two look-alikes and a devil.

"So, Carmine, is it?" Micheal leaned in on the used-to-be dead and scrawny girl. Before Micheal used his powers, she looked like a victim of a historical tragedy. Now she looked like a bronze Goddess. "Where did you come from?" He used mind control to force answers from his newly wedded committer.
