Grayson's POV
i bit my fingernails as i waited. they had Cassadee in the ER and i couldn't see her. i could tell Paige was scared. i laid my hand on her shoulder and a fake smile played on my face.

"it'll be okay." i said, hoping i was correct.

"Grayson and Ethan Dolan and Paige Holland?" the nurse walked up to us as if asking if that was our names. i automatically stood up. "what's wrong with her? will she be okay?"

the nurse slowly nodded, not meaning she was okay but meaning i needed to calm down. "sir, i don't know. the stab wound was very deep, were shocked she didn't die instantly."

i closed my eyes and Paige started to cry.

"they are performing surgery on her right now. you will get to see her when..." she hesitated. "if she wakes up."

"if?!" i stood up again and Paige was digging her hands into her face.

"what do you mean if?!"

"sir, you need to calm down."

i took a deep breath and sat down with a million questions on my mind.

will she be okay?
will she be the same?
and...
where's Ethan?
