016: First Day

I fiddled around my credit card, desperately waiting for the bus to arrive as I had only ten minutes left before I get completely humiliated on my first day.

Knowing that SUH is such a prestigious hospital, there is definitely a chance that I cross paths with an arrogant or stern doctor.

I couldn't help but grin in relief as the bus stopped before me,I immediately made my way into the transparent door, sliding my card across the box before sitting at the farthest seat of the bus.

I looked over my phone and saw 34 missed calls from my sister yesterday, probably when I was asleep at Jae Chan's place.

Wait, Where is my sister? I haven't seen her at home.

I stare at my phone confusingly, rethinking on wherever my sister might be.

Just when I thought of some place, the scene before my figure, answered the question itself.

With Jae Chan sitting near the window shield, Hong Joo had her shoulder held out as the man's head was laying against it.

The scene made my heart itch for a second,I definitely know why I would feel like this, but I wouldn't admit so myself.

"Hey, Jae Chan-ssi, Wake up... " Hong Joo shook the man's figure, making the latter groan in response.

"Mhhm, Thank You.. " What is he thanking her for?

"If you really are thankful, then wake up right now! " Hong Joo tapped Jae Chan's chest but the man didn't move an inch.

"Jung Jae Chan-ssi!" Now,Hong Joo slap his chest with her fingers, making him jolt awake, retrieving his head back away from her shoulder.

"It seems like you had a dream, What was it about?" Hong Joo questioned, staring into Jae Chan with curiosity, but the man only shook his head.

"Press the button, It's the prosecutors office." Hong Joo reminded, making Jae Chan press the button hurriedly.

Wait, Prosecutor's office? This is my stop too!

I hesitantly pressed the button,creating a loud signal as the two people in front of me, gaze at my direction making me avert my face away.

[Time Skip]

I hid myself behind at a tree, my sister's back facing me, I stealthily kept my figure away from their eye's reach.

"Ms.Nam, What do you do for living? Don't You have a job?" Jae Chan asked at my sister, stopping from his tracks and turning back around at her.

"Wait, are you finally interested in me? That interest will lead to love interest, are you going to take that typical procedure?" Hong Joo wrongly predicted as Jae Chan looked at her with a face that clearly states that's she done with her.

"If so, I'd love to be a part of it!" Hong Joo raised her hand half way, beaming like a kid.

"Be a part of what? I asked you because you follow me around everyday!"

"But this is only the second time,do you want it to be everyday?"

"No,I don't want that at all." Jae Chan hissed at my sister as he turned his body side way.

"There's a reason for that." Hong Joo spoke with a serious voice.

"A reason?"

"I dreamed of you, and you ended up falling asleep until the last stop, You we're super late so you got scolded by your boss, You're going to have a rough day because of Park Jun Mo's case," Hong Joo explained as she went over to fix his tie neatly. " I followed you to save the trouble of getting scolded"

I looked over my clock and noticed that I only have ten minutes left, aish, when are they gonna leave?! Whatever, I need to pass now or else I'll be late for my work!

I retrieved my body away from my hiding spot,tidying up my blouse as I wore my coat, as the hospital is just a few meters away.

I cleared my throat, straightening my
posture as I walk pass by the two, who had their eye brows raised after seeing my presence.

"Oh, Nam Min Young-ssi? " Jae Chan reacted first, grabbing my wrist making me halt in my trance as he took a good look at my face.

"It is you." He said, his expression still in curiosity as I avert my gaze into him.

"Why are you holding my wrist?" I said, bringing my hand up in reflex as I nudged my eyes into his hand,firmly holding my wrist.

"Oh, It was out of—"

"Reflex, Yeah okay, I need to go now, It was nice seeing you, Mr. Jung and Hong Joo-ssi." I said, giving a thin smile as I moved my head away from the two, continuing my trance as I walk into the Hospital's way.

[Time Skip]

I didn't realize that I took 15 minutes of walk before I reach my destination, now I'm here, standing at office of the head of the neurosurgeon department.

"You're frankly 5 minutes late, Ms. Nam, in your first day." Mr. Oh shook his head in dismay, clicking his tongue in the process as he gave me a stack box of hospital records.

"I'm letting this late attendance slide for now, Here's the records of the patients you'll be taking care for today, Get ready as tomorrow you'll have a practice surgery with a patient." Mr.  Oh explained, making my head jolt up into his direction.

"Practice Surgery?"

"Yes, Don't worry, You'll have one of our  professional surgeon to teach you, I will send his name and his office number later, Run along now, Ms. Nam," Mr. Oh informed as I gave him a quick bow before heading into my work office.

I set the heavy load of stack into mg desk, fishing out the latest record and seeing it's content.

Lee Han Mi, 32 years old, A case of chronic fatigue syndrome?

I couldn't help but smile, thinking of my very first patient as I told the nurse to bring in the patient.

Well, this isn't bad for a first day.
