Chapter 10 False Miracles Jesus Forgives, Heals a Paralyzed Man

According to Matthew this is when Jesus cured the paralytic man. However, this event has already occurred, in the Gospels of Mark (Mark 2:1-5) and Luke (Luke 5:17-20). Matthew 9:1-2: "9 Jesus stepped into a boat, crossed over and came to his own town.2 Some men brought to him a paralyzed man, lying on a mat. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the man, "Take heart, son; your sins are forgiven.""

At this point and time Mark, has Jesus curing a man with a paralysed hand, Mark 3:1-5: "3 Another time Jesus went into the synagogue, and a man with a shriveled hand was there. 2 Some of them were looking for a reason to accuse Jesus, so they watched him closely to see if he would heal him on the Sabbath. 3 Jesus said to the man with the shriveled hand, "Stand up in front of everyone."

4 Then Jesus asked them, "Which is lawful on the Sabbath: to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill?" But they remained silent.

5 He looked around at them in anger and, deeply distressed at their stubborn hearts, said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." He stretched it out, and his hand was completely restored."

Luke has Jesus calling Levi/Matthew, this event has already occurred, in the Gospel of Mark (Mark 2:13-14). Luke 5:27-28: "27 After this, Jesus went out and saw a tax collector by the name of Levi sitting at his tax booth. "Follow me," Jesus said to him, 28 and Levi got up, left everything and followed him."

The Gospel of John, once more has John the Baptist a free man, and omits these events.
