Chapter 5

Few hours later...

Well, I was able to persuade Grunkle Stan into letting Bill stay the night. Bill slept in the room with the body switching carpet and I slept in my bed. It was a pretty peaceful night.

CRACK!!

Something made a loud noise downstairs. I sat up quickly, startled. "What the-" Bill suddenly came running in and closed the door behind him. "Bill...?" I whispered. He put his hand over my mouth. "Shh..." he whispered glancing at the door. I looked at him surprised. Bill was obviously scared of something at the moment. I pushed his hand off. "Bill what's going on?!" I whisper screamed. "Th- they've found me.." He replied in a slightly panicked voice. "Huh? You don't mean..." I whispered, my eyes growing wide. "My father's men..." Bill whispered. He looked out the window quickly. "We have to get out of here" He got down on his knees and pulled out my backpack. I watched quietly as he packed it. What he put in was:

Most of my clothes, including sweaters,

My grappling hook,

The 3rd journal

Pens,

Paper,

First aid kit,

Food that he summoned,

Pillows,

Blankets,

And some other things I couldn't see.

Bill tossed it to me. "Come on get dressed and meet me downstairs!" He floated out of the room. I sat on my bed, shocked for a few seconds, before jumping into action. I packed a few other things in my backpack before changing into a purple skirt, pink shirt and my shooting star sweater. I slipped into my flats and ran downstairs, with the backpack on my back. It was surprisingly light.

Bill was pacing in the living room, glancing at a broken window every so often. "What happened to the window?!" I asked when I saw it. "The men..." he replied quietly.

There was then a crashing noise in the kitchen.

Bill put his hand over my mouth before I could respond, backing away towards the backdoor. I back away as well (He was pulling me back, so like I had a choice!). I listened for voices, and heard some.

"He's in here."

"We getting that girl who's helping him?"

"Of course we are you idiot!!!"

"Oooh when I get my hands on her..."

I managed to let out an "Eep!" before Bill opened the backdoor and pulled me through. "Come on!" He grabbed my hand and ran into the woods. I looked back at the Shack over my shoulder.

Five hooded figures where in the doorway, two of them were holding up bows.

"Bill...!!!!" I yelled. "What?! OH CRAP!" He pushed me to the side as two arrows whizzed by. I looked at the arrows, wide eyed. Bill grabbed my hand again and ran in the other direction.

I don't know what just happened, but I know it ain't good.
