《 Marked 》

I watched him climb into his car, I moved the curtain back into place as he drove by. "Hey, I'm going out Mum!" I called out.

"Be careful and take a jacket!" She called back from the top of the stairs.

I grabbed her car keys and slid into a rain jacket. I slid my phone it the pocket of my jeans and closed the front door behind me as I jogged to the car.

I climbed into the car and was pulling out before the car had even got warm. I pulled off the street and followed the sleek Mustang as it headed downtown.

I almost lost it before I glanced put my window and saw Marcus climb out of his car and head towards a closed club.

I pulled into the parking lot and parked far away, watching the closed down place for a moment. My hand grabbed for my phone and called the familiar number.

"Did you follow him?" Was his way of answer.

"Yeah, but he's at this club, it looks like it's closed" I replied.

"Text me the address, I'll meet you there" he replied.

I hung up the phone and sent him the address. I tapped my fingers against the steering wheel before unclicking my seatbelt and opening my door. A gust of cold wind swirled around my car and I slammed the door closed, tugging my jacket closer.

I walked slowly over to the front door, glancing at Marcus's black car.

Raising my hand, I knocked twice.

There was a moment of silence before I heard a small click and the door creaked open. Using every bit of my willpower, I pushed open the door.

The club was lit up and people streamed around, laughter, cigarettes and alcohol filled the air and I wrinkled my nose.

I glanced around and stepped in, chatter dying as they noticed me. The bartender grinned. "Well well well, look what we have here, come to donate?" He asked, his malicious grin widening.

My hands trembled as I stepped back, falling into someone who locked their hands around my arms as I attempted to free myself. The club laughed as I struggled. "You smell delicious" the person behind me said.

That's when it clicked. This was a vampire bar. They thought I was here to donate blood, to let them feed off me. The disgust rolled over me.
"Hands off her Blaine" a darker voice said, the club going quiet.

I looked up with my wide eyes and saw Marcus. He was standing on the balcony, a glass of something red in his hand as he black dress shirt and red waistcoat made him all the more powerful than the others.

Blaine, the Vampire behind me, hissed. "Stay out of this Marcus" he hissed.

Marcus handed the glass to someone else before leaping off the balcony. He landed in front of me, my eyes wide as I watched him. I was too terrified to say anything.

Marcus's eyes swept over me. "Let go of her, can't you see she's marked?" He asked, his gaze lingered across my neck.

Blaine pulled back which in turn pulled me back to glance at me. "Who marked her?" He growled out.

Marcus stepped forward and took my elbow, pulling me out Blaine's grip with ease. "I did" he replied calmly.

Blaine hissed. "You think because you have royal status, you can just do whatever you want?" Blaine growled.

Marcus looked thoughtful for a moment. "Yes" he replied, tugging me a little too hard.

Blaine started forward but Marcus shot out a hand and wrapped his fingers around Blaine's larynx. "Don't fucking move" Marcus snarled.

Shivers crossed down my spine as I saw him in action, I watched the obedience cross Blaine's face. "Yes sir" he rasped out.

Marcus let go of him and pushed him aside, pulling me after him. "Ow!" I exclaimed as he pushed open the front door and strode outside.

"Are you insane? Are you actually trying to kill yourself?" Marcus started.

"No! I wanted to make sure you were okay!" I called out.

Marcus laughed, it seemed to cruel and harsh for him. "If I was okay? I'm a vampire Diana, I think I can handle myself, you however do not know how to use your abilities so I suggest you don't get involved!" Marcus exclaimed.

I yanked my arm out of his grip and crossed them across my chest. "What did he mean by royalty?" I asked, rubbing my wrist.

"Don't worry about it, don't concern yourself, go home and play fetch with your little dog" Marcus replied sarcastically.

My temper flared as I raised my hand and slapped him right across the face. Marcus's head swung to the side and he slowly raised his hand to touch the red mark. "You need to learn some manners!" I snapped.

"What afraid I'll hurt his feelings?" He asked.
I raised my hand again but he caught my wrist and pulled me closer until I was inches away from him.

"Don't ever raise your hand to me again, do you hear me?" Marcus whispered.

He only whispered it but I could feel the authority leaking from it. "Yes sir" I mocked.

Marcus narrowed his eyes. He tilted his face forward and I could feel his minty breath washing over my skin. "Don't disobey me Diana, you will only get hurt" he growled as I struggled against his grip.

If he moved one inch closer, our lips would touch. "Is that all I am to you Marcus? Just another mindless slave?" I asked, as his grip on me tightened.

"No" he breathed out as our lips brushed.

A honking of the horn, broke me away from Marcus.
Juilan climbed out of the car. "Get away from her you asshole!" He called out.

I was happy to see my other best friend but also annoyed he had interuptted. He closed the door to his running car as Marcus let go of my wrist.

"Get away from him!" Juilan yelled to me.

I glanced at Marcus before backing up. Marcus only glanced at me once, before turning back to Juilan.
"Juilan" he said in a way of greeting.

"Bloodsucker" Juilan replied in his way of greeting.

I glanced at Juilan, wondering how possibly knew that. "How's your mother? Is she fairing well?" Marcus asked, glancing at me briefly.

I frowned, there was something in his eyes. He knew something.
"She's fairing just well, in fact she send her regards to your fanger of a father" he snapped.

Marcus's eyes flashed. "Don't get to comfortable with what's mine, the truth will come out" Marcus replied before sparing me one last glance and turning on his heel and disappearing back into the club.

I turned to Juilan. "What the hell was that about?!" I rounded on him.
